Ever since I got my first glimpse of this shot from the wonderful Melody of Slurping Life I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. We even featured it in The Daily Click. But sometimes once isn’t enough and therefore I am honoring it as my One Sweet Shot this month. There's just something about the feeling I get from the image; the colors, the compostition, the spin. It's such a evocative image.

When I came across this image, it took my breath away. In her work, Crystal consistently brings together impeccable imagery and heavenly processing and I find myself astounded and inspired by the images she creates. This one is a particular favorite as the creamy warm tones of the shot overwhelm me with sweet melancholy and the mirrored gesture of the wind blown tree and wispy cherub curls makes me swoon. As I have studied every detail of this photo I realized that this little girl reminds me of what my oldest daughter looked like at that age. I'm certain that only makes me love it more. Heavy sigh.

A few years ago I had the pleasure of virtually meeting Sheri Reed of Mamazine. We were both blogging for ClubMom at the time. Since then we have had our share of online collaborations and I have grown to adore her. I know, I know, I haven’t even met her in real live person yet. Such is the nature of Blogville. None the less, through her poignant words and her totally fresh and inspiring photographs, oddly enough, I do feel like I know her. Don’t you love when images speak volumes about a person? I have been eager to gush about Sheri for quite some time and when I saw this delightfully and intriguing shot of hers, I couldn’t resist featuring it for this month’s One Sweet Shot.
