Tracey Clark
With a modest arsenal of Canon equipment, a bounty of intuition and her self-proclaimed obsession with natural light, Tracey has dedicated herself to capturing the kind of images that tirelessly remind us that life is beautiful.
She appreciates good composition, authenticity and a delicious pint (whether it’s of Sierra Nevada or Ben and Jerry’s depends on the occasion).
Tracey is the founding sister of Shutter Sisters. You are welcome to get to know her via her blog Mother May I and continue to discover her photographic work at Warmtone. You can reach her at

Kate Inglis
Kate of Sweet | Salty has a father who, as he says, "...plays golf like a sailor, tacking back and forth across the fairway." Such is Kate with a camera, a writer first and foremost who nurtures her photographic funk by trial and error.
Kate is in the honeymoon phase of a love affair with The Bad Boy, a.k.a. her first digital SLR in the form of a Canon Rebel XTi. She enjoys power outages, woodsmoke, the flotsam you find on the beach after a hurricane, and the novelty of living in the saltiest place on earth. Kate can be reached at

Karen Walrond
By day, Karen is a corporate attorney, protecting her employer from other members of her profession. On her off-time, she's a photographer, working hard to maintain her amateur status. Luckily, this isn't difficult.
Karen shoots her images with a Nikon D100 or D200 depending on her whim. She has a passion for portraiture, but with her recent acquisition of a 60mm micro lens, she's developing a deep attraction for up-close, intimate macro shots. She loves her husband's cooking, her daughter's laugh, and authentic Trinidadian Rum Punch. Check out more of her work at Chookooloonks, or email her at

Maile Wilson
If you count glamour shots as professional portraiture, then Maile has been shooting “professionally” for sixteen years. During that time she owned and operated three successful studios in California, then in Texas. When she realized her favorite part of owning a storefront, was getting to decorate it, she knew things had to change. So two years ago, she decided photography was not rocket science. She started shooting in ways that interested her. With over a decade in the business, she fell in love with photography for the first time. She believes that art doesn’t have to be complicated, and neither does your life.
Her work can be found at the Relish Portrait Studio website and on her blog Daily Relish.
Andrea Scher
Andrea Scher is a photographer, jewelry designer and life coach living in Berkeley, CA. She has had a photoblog, Superhero Journal since 2003 where she shares photos and writes about her life.
"I have a lot of passions, but the one I believe in above all else is that we are all creative beings and we all deserve to do work that we love; work that feels like a true expression of who we are. One of the greatest gifts of having a photoblog is to be able to inspire others to live their creative lives and ultimately find more beauty and joy in the world." You can reach Andrea at

Paige Balcer
Paige is a freelance graphic designer by day but feels herself drifting toward the world of photography more with each passing minute. She has owned a Canon Rebel XT for just over a year, but now can't imagine life without it. Her photography business, Paige B. Photography, is now up and running and she looks forward to watching it grow.
Paige, her husband John, and cat Roxy recently moved from Chicago to Omaha. Roxy is hoping for a new addition to the family soon so Paige can practice her photography on another helpless victim. Paige has a blog called Look Away and can also be reached at

Irene Nam
Irene is a writer, neat freak, mother of two who loves instant photography. When her husband gave her her first Polaroid camera as a Christmas present last year, she had no idea that the little experiment would soon become a source of inspiration, an opportunity to see and express things differently and that she would enjoy it so much.
Irene now navigates a happy balance between working on a book project, playing dominos with her twin sons, and strapping on a backpack full of film and crawling all over her native Paris shooting Polaroid photos. You can see more of her photos on her blog Momster. You can reach her at

sarah-ji
Once upon a time, Sarah-Ji wandered the streets and music venues of Chicago practicing stealth photography wherever she went. Then along came a husband and baby soon after, and her shutterbugging days seemed to be over. Luckily, in the spring of '07, she awakened to the world of dSLR, and now she hopes to be snapping away happily ever after.
Her blogging corner of cyberspace is at Shutterbug Mama.
Jen Lemen
Jen Lemen never really thought of herself as an artist until she spent an entire week obsessively creating a pop-up book by hand for her daughter's preschool teacher. After that, a friend slipped her a copy of The Artist's Way, and she's been covered in ink and watercolor ever since. When she's not creating art or writing essays, you can find Jen wandering around her neighborhood with her trusty new Canon Rebel, celebrating all things simple and soulful. As a brand new photographer, Jen's loving the experience of being a beginner with all the hope and promise first steps always bring. You can read more about Jen's creative adventures at jenlemen.com.

By night, she’s pushing the limits of her fine art training with the dream of pursuing photography in a professional space.
