Love Thursday: January 31, 2008

013108_600.jpg

I'm absolutely thrilled with the response from last Thursday's Love Thursday Challenge -- your images and stories absolutely blew me away. There were several of you who had e-mailed me in the past who mentioned in passing that you missed Love Thursday, but I don't think I really understood the extent to which the day was missed. I'm really humbled. Thank you for welcoming it back with open arms.

The above image of my daughter Alex and her dad, Marcus, was taken over the summer, while we were visiting Marcus' family in England. For the most part, Alex is a Mommy's Girl -- Marcus often calles her "Barnacle" or "Limpet" for the way that she's constantly attached to me. The truth is, though, that she and Marcus have a truly special connection -- one that's exemplified by her constant desire to sit on his shoulders. To be honest, some of her interest in sitting on his shoulder has to do with the fact that my husband is 6'5", making for a pretty lofty perch for a 3-year-old. But once there, it's obvious that she's so relaxed -- not only does she usually rest her head on his head as he walks around (as shown above), but very often, she falls asleep in that position -- and Marcus has to hold on tight to make sure she doesn't slip off.

I love how her complete her trust is in him. And with that kind of trust comes an abundance of love.

Happy Love Thursday, everyone! Please leave your links to your images depicting the love in your life in the comments below -- remember, the images can be symbols of love, love of family, romantic love, love of life, or whatever. If you need inspiration, be sure to check out what kerry okra, lifeography, and n.elle have uploaded to the Shutter Sisters flickr pool recently.

And may you surrender yourself in trust with someone you love today.

I've been home with my sick dog all day...he's 13, has been with me since he was 5 weeks old. He had a bad seizure this morning and I hate this, hate everything about it. But I love HIM so, so much. Here's a photo of me with him on New Year's Eve. It kind of sums up the best things, for me, about having a dog in my life, even if it does hurt to see him age and have these troubles.

Thank you for this wonderful pictures. I am a daddy's girl - raised by a single dad until we got my wonderful momma. This picture reminds me of the joy that comes from being with my dad - and it made me call him and tell him thank you.
So thank you -
Miracles & Blessings,
Samantha

My first post ever! This site provides me with a lot of inspiration to make time for something fun and just for me, aside from mothering my gorgeous 1 year old, nurturing my new pregnancy and writing my dissertation. Thank you!

A year ago I sent a wish out into the universe. It went a little like this: "Dear Universe. I so much want to find out who my life's love is. Even though he seems to be no where around, I know he exists. I promise to believe he is on his way, if you promise to acknowledge my wish by showing me heart rocks." The universe held up her end of the deal and not only showered me with heart rocks -- but flooded me with heart shaped things -- leaves, clouds, coffee drips, light on canyon walls and many more. Pure glee people every time I saw one!
To see on of my favorite hearts (Amook Island, Alaska August 2008) from the "Big U" follow my link- http://adventuresinfirewalking.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html

(ps) My love DID arrive this summer! A week before our paths crossed there was an abundance of hearts everywhere I set my sight...I see it now was a "Hansel and Gretel" trail to the man who holds my heart : )

@Amy: Your post just gave me goosebumps. I didn't ask the universe for guidance, so it was a bit bewildering to me at first, but I had crazy synchronicity going on everywhere when I met my boyfriend. The kind that freaks you out a little. Now that we've been together almost a year, I can look back and see she was just trying to nudge me... glad I paid attention.

One remembers that modern life is not very cheap, however we need money for various issues and not every person gets enough money. Thus to get quick mortgage loans or small business loan will be a correct way out.

Don't have money to buy a building? Worry not, just because it is achievable to take the business loans to resolve all the problems. Hence take a auto loan to buy all you want.
