feeling nostalgic

There are a number of reasons I choose to live in Southern California. This is one of them.

I will admit that we don't usually get defined billowy clouds here which is exactly why I took my camera out with me the day I shot this from the pier. Although this landscape shot looked lovely straight out of the camera, it is the vintage postcard processing that makes me fall in love with my surroundings all over again.

I have noticed so many of you creating your own magic with nostalgic processing techniques. Swoon.

If you've got some photo editing handwork of the antique kind that you'd like to share please do. Let's take a trip back in time.

i ALWAYS love this effect when i see it in a photo.

admitidly, i have no idea how it is done. although i have Photoshop, i am not sure how to use all of it's tools.

but i gave it a whirl anyway. here it is:

Never been to California, but this postcard has sold me on a trip.

I used a nostalgic preset in editing this one. One of those moments that happens throughout time

The vintage trend has got me trying the technique on my own. Here is my first try at it:

Hi Tracey...love your photo! I was wondering if Shutter Sisters ever does tutorials on how to get some of the cool processing techniques? Do you have any suggestions on sites to go to for instructions (besides just doing a google search)? I love the SS Flickr pool and often think Wow...how did they do that?!? Thanks...from an aspiring Shutter Sister!

Love the colors in your photo.

I am just learning how to process my pictures with photoshop and using textures. Here's an example of a recent one that I worked on...

Some time before, I needed to buy a car for my firm but I did not earn enough cash and couldn't order something. Thank God my comrade adviced to take the loan at trustworthy creditors. Thus, I did that and used to be satisfied with my short term loan.
