wandering

Yes, the poop stories are true. As well as most of the things that you read in newspapers or on expat blogs. And I could leave my life here in a second if given the opportunity to relocate in New York or anywhere near the beach. But every time I take a walk across the pont des Arts, or come home with a couple of warm pains au chocolat before my family wakes up, I know in my heart and in my soul, Paris will always be my home.

I am most excited today to announce the launch of my collaboration with Bel Kai designs for the Shutter Sisters Capture Collection, the Wandering necklace, now available for purchase.

Whitney and I both envisioned this necklace, which includes three of my personal Polaroid photos, as a way to wander through the streets of Paris, and to be inspired by the unique beauty of the city. Each necklace is sold with a Polaroid postcard (professionally printed on 4.3 x 5.5 inches heavy paper) to whisk you away and take you even further in your journey to the city of light.

As always, the generous Bel Kai designs is giving away one necklace. Please, share with us an image of the place that inspires you, that you call home, and leave a comment here before tomorrow Monday 23rd midnight PST to be entered in a random drawing for a necklace of your very own.

This is so inspiring and beautiful!
I'd want to share a photo of the place that I'm always finding myself in. It's been that way since I was a kid.

A sandy shore - anywhere. Be it the Lake Michigan shoreline, the Pacific, Atlantic or the Gulf, I love having my toes in the sand listening to the sound of the waves.....

This past weekend I spent out of town hiking, taking photographs and meeting a beautiful Flickr friend. It was the first time I'd ever spent the night away from my husband and son, and although I had a gorgeous time, they are home:

I love your necklace and would be thrilled to win it.
I am inspired most when I am out in nature . I feel at peace in the midst of the woods - God's beautiful world all around me. But it's when I look close I see things that inspire.

I'm most at home when living/cruising/sailing on my sailboat. The Florida Keys call to me...

My husband and I both grew up in Miami Beach. It was a big adventure for our children the first time we took them to the beach. The beach and breeze of the ocean is where our home is.

Oh, such a beautiful necklace and we are so lucky to have the opportunity to win one!

I was fortunate to visit the coast of Italy last month. It still calms me to look at pictures of the beauty there.

oh, this necklace is so fabulous.

i don't have the most amazing scenery around me.
i live in the midwest of the usa.
but i have a place i visit almost yearly that inspires me...
the gulf of mexico, where my husband's parents live.
this is the spot on the beach i always claim for the time that i am there.
and i often sit in this chair and just take in the simple beauty:

as far as what is around me, i have some things that are peaceful to see as i drive around...
like the farm land that surrounds me.
this is always one of my favorite scenes,
especially around this time of year:

I grew up along the coast in Virginia, but California has been home for 20 years, and I've come to love the mountains as much as the sea. Still, the ocean is a source of inspiration and renewal to me. I think of it often, even when visiting the Sierra Nevada. A beautiful glow can remind me of certain moonlit walks along the Atlantic that I took decades ago:

What a beautiful necklace!

This is the view from the kitchen window at my parents' cabin in Clark, CO. Our home is in Florida, but my stepfather grew up in Steamboat Springs, just down from Clark. We grew up visiting Steamboat Springs every other summer so it has grown to be a place of comfort and homecoming to me as well.

The necklace is absolutely beautiful! I love the inspiration!
This is where I call home! This is where all my worries and stresses release and I get to pretend that I live in a fairy tale.
