My heart always feel light in this place...even when the light grows dark, it still takes my breath away with it's beauty.

Whenever I go to my grandmother's house (which is rare, now, because she's living in a nursing home), I love to photograph the little things that remind me of her: a pillow, a comfortable chair, a glass and spoon. She gives me roots, which gives me a sense of lightness, too.

Here in Southern California, we don't have a 'real' fall season, but it's the temperature is starting come down from the 90's to the high 70's/low 80's and THAT makes me feel light today. LOL. Here's my shot from our annual 'fall festival': http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeroldssis/2974030910/

ooOOoo I can't believe this is your topic today! I took my camera to work last night (don't even know why lol) and on the ride home it was very foggy this am. I kept seeing these rays of light come thru the tree's..but couldn't stop. Finally I was on a small country road and just Had to stop the car as tired as I was to take a few pics. Then when I got home and was making breakfast, I saw the sun shining thru my dirty kitchen. I thought it was still lovely.

Lightness by the light I've been seeing in the trees and the leaves and the colors as they come alive. I love this season - it makes me smile, and sigh contentedly.

This is a photo of my baby sister - it was 70 degress in early June up in New England. She wanted to jump in the water so badly and without a single thought she ran right in...I love the how free she looks and how light she seems to feel.

Also going barefoot, which is slowly going away as fall is turning cold down here.
