babyface

032408_600.jpg

He watches a fairground ride and I wonder: what's he thinking?

Sure, they just lie there in carseat or on floor, less photographically diverse than hopping and squishing and squealing toddlers. But OH! My... the wonder that awaits a patient soul. This Easter Monday, show us your favourite baby-absorbing-world captures - with all the cereal-encrusted cheeks and gummy grins.

Because nothing quite says peace and hope like cheeks like those.

That is an amazing photo!! I love it. Here are a few of my baby faves...

Her expression in this one... What does she see? What is she thinking?

I have a crazy rambunctious 2 year old, so I often take many crazy, funny and delirious shots of him just being him. I forget he was once a calm, curious & quiet baby. :) However, here is a shot of my two nephews taken 3 years ago when my baby nephew was 5 months old--it's still one of my favorites.

This baby was just 7 days old... she does look like she's thinking about something. Actually, mama was standing right where she's looking. Sweet.

She was just sitting on the edge of trampoline as the other children played. My brother walked into the house, got my camera, handed it to me and said "do what you do". I snapped off four quick shots. In this one she hadn't turned to see me yet. I got another with her eyes straight at me, and the reflection of me in her eyes. I love sweet baby shots.

I took a slew of photos of Ossley last weekend but had a heck of a time getting anything in focus (low light + wiggly baby), but I love them nonetheless.

A gorgeous photo.
I have two baby-meets-world pictures that came to mind.
One expression of wonderment

And another of adorable dissatisfaction!

I don't have a talent for photography but I'm practicing. Luckily, I have a pretty good model.

I LOVE this photo, Kate.

I have two photos of my youngest as a baby because they show both parts of his personality so well, even at 4 months old. They were taken within seconds of one another.

The difference? His older brother (then 19 months old) walked over to say hi and I got this:

Enjoying all the pictures! Here is mine, she is not yet two. And I am not sure what she is thinking. Probably plotting her next attempts to pester her two older brothers.

I love pics of babies when they're deep in thought. I'm a scrapbooker, and this page contains a photo I scrap often. It's my fave of my oldest daughter when she was almost a year old.

and another of a lot of her favorite faces
