the ones we love

032608_600.jpg

Well, it's 10:29...an hour and a half before I should have this post done, and I don't know what to say. It's been a very long day, and I have no interesting words or thoughts. I do have a cool link for you though. I found this site via Photojojo's newsletter the other day. It's called The Ones We Love. And it's a project devoted to portraying the people who inspire different photographers all over the world. I found myself mesmerized by A. the photography and B. the concept. Somehow it adds a certain dimension to a photograph when you know that the person who is pictured means the world to someone else. Then I realized that we can probably say that about most photographs. Hopefully everyone has someone that they mean the world to, and vice versa. So I thought we could start our own little mini "Ones We Love" photo fest today. I'll go first.

Great shot. Love the post processing.

I couldn't decide whether to choose my husband or my kids for this. I settled on my husband. He is most definitely The One I Love.

What nice looking husbands you all have!!

Ugh - this is hard! Hands down - my husband and children. But my husband hates to be in front of the lens, my son tends to get goofy in front of the lens, and my daughter - she glows when put in front of the camera.

I wanted to be a link hog and put in about 4 different links of the kids and husband - but I'm going for my favorite photo which has all 3 of them.

The One became two with the birth of my son. i so randomly have them both in the frame together that i'm choosing this photo which is more like a snapshot but takes me to a happy place.

I love that photo!

Would you believe I have very few photos of all THREE of my boys! The hubs and I can never get H&H to sit still. The hubs doesn't really like to have his photo taken much either.

Here he is off to the side with another one of my "ones":

And here, I actually got him to pose!

Oh my, how to choose?? 4 kids, 1 hubby....think I'll go with hubby for this post:

He and I have laughed about this one, saying that it should be on the dust jacket of his first bestseller. Guess he should get started writing. : )

My first true love:

He gave me my second true love:

What I love most is that there are so many people I love that it was difficult to choose. This made me realize how very blessed I am to be able to photograph so many that I love and that I have so many to love.

This boy kills me - ah, the life of raising a teenager.
My love for him and the way he looks at life is immeasurable.

OK...here's mine. I took a step away from the obvious of children & husband. This is a photo of my Best Friend, who I'll just call 'H'. We were having one of our shopping days which means tons of laughs. I set my camera up on the shelf & we posed with the first letters of our names. I can be having a rotten day and my dear friend can put a smile on my face and lift my spirit. :)

An old post with an even older photo. But it's the one I have up at work that makes me smile.

I'm so late, but I have to contribute! I thought that project was really cool too.
Here's a shot of ONE of the ones I love. He's much easier to get a great picture of than the other one I love, but I'm working on him too. I'll get a good shot sometime soon.
