from sea to shining sea

waiting patiently
beneath a blazing sun
seeking...
Lady Liberty
* * *
I took this shot at the South Street Seaport in Manhattan last weekend. Seeing the long line of tourists eagerly await the water taxi for a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty gave me a good feeling. I love this country.
Do share your view of America today.

I am attaching a link to a couple of pics I took yesterday: baseball and Grand Central as seen by a British gal in the city that I was proud to call home for a year.
Happy 4th of July everyone!

sometimes my view of the world is small and I feel small and uncool. The shots I take of my world aren't grand vistas or gritty exotic street scenes. But sometimes my view of the world is small and within the small window, the magic pours in.
Here is my America shot, from the Lansing Pride Parade a shot of the preacher performing unions on the capitol steps.
