delicious ambiguity

I always wanted a happy ending... Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity.

:: Gilda Radner (1946 - 1989)

Behind the camera, there's candid (i.e. subject knows you're there, makes you chase, does best to Act Natural! and not pose but look agreeably windswept) and then there's reeeally, truly candid (i.e. subject thinks you're chasing windswept un-posers and sneaks her sixth cupcake).

This Labour Day, share with us the photos that had nothing to do with work, or planning, or chasing. Show us how you stalk the moment.

I probably couldn't have been more 'in the moment' than when I locked the keys in the car the other weekend. Unplanned, total stress - how more in the moment can you be?
My new mantra is 'zen in times of stress'.

I can't believe how little stalking I've done!

Must get right on it. Tomorrow's task: stalk stalk stalk.

I took this at the zoo. It really strikes me as a photo in which the subjects are definitely not "posing" for the camera.

through the crowds passing me by, a small world between my lens and him-a capture of the kindness he was gifting to strangers to brighten their days...

I love stalking those unexpected moments! My pic was snapped at my sister's wedding this summer. I had gone inside to get something (hmmm, probably some more champagne...) and saw this little moment through a window. Technically, it isn't a great photo but it did capture something tender between these two.

Mmmmm...cupcakes.

Here's my little cupcake not looking so little or cupcake-y anymore as I stalked him at his first game of the season.

trying to capture a 4 yr old before they start posing for the camera can be difficult. the ones where my niece isn't aware of the camera are my favorite.

Taken on a day when the munchkin was playing in his room and the lighting was just perfect. He's doing his own thing without being aware of the camera.

I was taking some macro shots of the roses in this area of Longwood Gardens when I noticed my son in the background. He'd found a neat little spot to take canded shots... and I managed to find him without him knowing about it. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3208/2817332358_1392b3ae1a_o.jpg

I set out wanting to take a shot of my son watching the otters, hoping to get the otters cute face!! Instead I got a great expression and the otters butt, due to digital delay. Gotta love it!

This was the moment I realized that summer was over. The frolicking part of summer. I looked out my window and saw our clock tower and the sun beginning to fall on the evening side... moments vanish so quickly.

this was completely unplanned - we happened upon a herd of burros who were blocking the road, saying hello to the cars, so we were "forced" to enjoy them until they continued on their merry way. When I try to find animals, they are non-existent. :-)

The credit loans are useful for people, which are willing to ground their company. As a fact, that's not hard to get a auto loan.
