Found in Little Italy

"I was looking for one of my favorite cow tail hair shots and..."

(insert sudden burst of laughter)

"Wait a minute, you were looking for what?" chuckled my shutter sister Karen. I suppose I hadn't thought about the fact that most of my friends don't spot cow tail hair on the barbed wire fence most days. But as much as I love admiring those random delicate blonde strands of hair on the "architecture" out here on the farm, I often crave a good dose of the city. Place me in the middle of Littly Italy in NYC, and I might just mistake it for home.

Let's see a little of the city in you.

I am decidedly NOT a city girl. Cities are fun to visit, something at which to marvel, but after a few days, I get claustrophobic amidst the hustle and bustle. But you do see such interesting SIGHTS in the city!

Hello - I love that photo. This is my first attempt at some street photography with my new camera - more of a quick snapshot really and because I was feeling shy - taken through a window looking down on the street ... I haven't edited it at all, but am thinking of what I could do with it?

anyway - more bravery next time!

This was taken with a little point and shoot and it's one of my fave city pics.

These are the free city bikes (velibs) you can find all across Paris - they are a great addition to the cityscape.

So much more to still shoot where I live, but here's one I love from a local city park:

I'm a little of both, especially when the city in question is Paris!
I like this shot of two girls: http://www.flickr.com/photos/31417716@N00/2383580145/in/set-72157604360719680/

Well, I had to scroll through like 10 pages on my flickr account to find any city shots...I lived in Boston for over three years, but that was ages ago. I guess I don't miss it that much - I'm a small-town girl at heart! Here's one taken at the Boston Children's Museum:

April, welcome to the sisterhood! Share your photos with us in the Shutter Sisters flickr group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/shuttersisters so we can follow your lens. Thanks for being here.
I love urban art! I was waiting for the bus this summer and this guy showed up, just strumming away. Made for an enjoyable wait!

There's also this field downtown where the graffiti artists just go wild - there are true works of art to be found there...
