If Anyone Will See

Stacks of paper, simple lines, tiny bowls of paint.  Plowing through an impossible task, wondering if the end will be nearly as satisfying as the brush in water, the color unfurled.  Wondering if anyone else will see the beauty in the details or the careful lines drawn from the outline of my deepening heart.  Picking up the camera, holding it to my chest and shooting out to the desk, just to see what the lens will choose.

You are beautiful, the story reads.  And I want it to be true.  For my paintings, for my soul, for our hopeful world.

+++++++++++

What words are peaking out in the picture book of your lens today?  Your pictures are our delight in the comments below.

Tonight I will be photographing my teen-aged son and a couple of his friends. They will be performing (playing guitar and singing) for the first time in front of an audience! It's a fundraiser performance and I have no idea what the lighting will be. Yipes! I am a beginner photographer and I sure hope I can figure out how to get some decent shots! Does anybody have any advice for me?

Jen, my work table is filled with love, it's is reflecting that February the ♥-month is close as evident in my art journal from yesterday;

Two books on my table - both strangely fitting at the moment:

The word {or more appropriately: lack of words} jumping out at me today is "simple".

perfect timing? the universe speaking? who knows but this my first copy arrived in the mail today. seeing the everyday magazine, their mission to celebrate life's everyday mundane and prosaic moments. to find beauty in it all. these words were just inside the cover... and it was love.

I came to the site early, as I usually do. I hope you don't mind me saying I was disappointed not to see a new post...I know it's selfish. But once again, your theme is in line with my life...it's very odd...

I worked most of the day but there was nothing inspiring on my desk...but on my daily walk with my dog this morning, I took my camera with me. I tell you, downloading these pics were like dumping my load of treasure after a seaside walk...
