one year ago today

Over at Mother May I have been enjoying sharing some old, archived photos. Unearthing images from years past has reminded me of how far I've come and yet, how much of life stays the same.
I shot a set of this sweet little raspberry heart on Nov 10th, 2008. I guess it's true. I have been seeking out and focusing on the little things for as long as I can remember. And looking back on shots like these I am reminded that through it all, at least my heart is in the right place.
When you take a look back to one year ago, where was your heart? Let's see a scene from the archives.

I discovered Honeycrisp apples and I was taking pictures of a lot of apples one year ago.

I was photographing each and every leaf..as they transformed themselves from green to reds and browns:

i love going back one year ago exactly - i do it often to see what's the same and what has changed.
our blog post a year ago

this was one of our post that showed the unexpected synchronicity in our images. I am still always pleasantly surprised when this happens.

And my blog post http://gnubee.wordpress.com/2008/11/11/chasing-the-light/ was similar to one I just did the other day http://gnubee.wordpress.com/2009/11/09/the-morning-light/
Wow, so does this mean I'm just a hamster continually going in circles? I was sure I had done something different too by not photographing any pumpkins this year ;)
one, i love this raspberry photo. i was not really reading shutter sisters back then, so i probably also did not know about your blog either. so now i have had the chance to see something as if it was never yet posted.
two, you caused me to go back one year, too. my nov.10, 2008 post happens to be one of my favorite set of photos ever. {i also was "seeking out and focusing on the little things".}

like you, it's helped me see how far i've come. i took those with my tiny canon powershot a470, and i love them! that reminds me of a post on s.s. a while back about how it is not necessarily about having a nice camera to take good shots... not that these are good, but i really like them.
third, i have been sort of disappointed that i don't have more time to spend on my jorjah-b blog, and i miss it, because that was my first blog and it was what led me to branch into a photo blog. i had been thinking, "maybe i should post some of my favorite posts from last year when i was full of inspiration and blogging vigor!" you've just reaffirmed my decision to do that.
oh... sorry for rambling. :)

still one of my favorite street photos of people.
i usually take more detail shots, but this one sums up this month last year for me:
