wish list for december

Hooray! It’s a brand new month and you know what that means. It’s time for a new word for our December One Word Project. And since it happens to be the season of holiday magic, why not Wish a little? Or a lot.

That being said, we present you a Shutter Sisters’ holiday Wish List full of cool gifts and gadgets (for every budget) for the photo enthusiast in all of us:

Stephanie is wishing for a 30mm f/1.4 lens and a Funky Camera neck strap.

Jen is wishing for The Super-Wide Conversion Lens for her Lensbaby Composer and a Polaroid Camera of any kind (with film).

Irene is wishing for a print from chocokat and one from Alicia Bock and the book Little Italy by Jenifer Altman.

Paige is wishing for a Mod camera neck strap.

Kristin is wishing for the Golden Half Green Trees Edition half frame toy camera.

Meredith is wishing for a GetReadySetGo messenger bag for gear and a mountain of film for her Kodak Brownie Hawkeye.

Maile is wishing forthe Fuji instax-camera.

Chris is wishing for the same Fuji instax-camera as Maile.

Sarah is wishing for a hand-knit, generously cushioned dSLR camera cozy in robin egg blue (know where she can find one?) and a super secret spy lens from Photojojo.

Alex is wishing for the Mona Kuhn: Native book, Polaroid 600 film & 120 film for her Holga and the Polaroid Frames from Photojojo.

Tracey is wishing for the Fisheye Optic for her Lensbaby Composer, a Camera Necklace from Urban Outfitters and the HP MediaSmart Server.

And while we’re wishing…here’s a few more wish-worthy ideas for Shutter Sisters everywhere:

The Shutter Sisters Flash Bulb Necklace (with the brand new sparkly chain!)

Maile’s new Camera Bags (a little bird told us that if you're on the mailing list, you'll be notified as soon as the holiday gift cards are available for these coveted bags. OMG!)

The Dreamy Diana lens at Photojojo

Digital Mini Case at Delight.com

Kirsty Takes a Bow (it might not be a book about photography but there are lots of amazing photos in it which is good enough for us!)

Seat Belt Camera Straps at Photojojo

Lightware Compact Flash Media Wallet

The Emma Photo Ring by Kimbra Studios

We encourage you to send the url to this post along to friends and family with the subject line ‘wishes' or 'hint hint' or some such thing. They’ll get the idea! And if you're wishing big this year and hoping to get some new photo equipment, send them to B&H Photo before the holidays. We pretty much guarantee they'll have what you're wishing for!

So, let's have it. What are you hoping to find under your tree this year? Come on, you can share your wish with us. Wishes are a wonderful thing!  B&H Photo sure thinks so and are giving away 2 gift cards (for $25 each) to 2 of you today to help your photo gear wishes come true. Isn't December starting out grand? Just leave a comment to be entered in the random drawing. Yay!

And we’ll be watching for your Wish images in our OWP Flickr Pool all month long.  If you’ve never participated in the One Word Project, we do wish you would join us! With all these wishes swirling about, some are bound to come true!

I love this photograph to bits, such a heart warming story behind it. The colour and composition are excellent as is the depth of field.

I'm really wishing my husband won't spend much money on me this year - things are a bit tight - but if he's got a secret stash somewhere I don' t know about I would love a way to get my flash off camera.

Another great one word challenge! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

As for me... I'm wishing for a Nikon d90. I wanted to buy it myself, but I'm only a third of the way there and I'm buying a house so I won't be adding much money into that fund for awhile. I'm still wishing though.

Right now I'm just wishing to find a good camera repair shop to help us figure out what's going on with our dslr!

And I must say I'm enjoying this chilly Texas weather!

I wish I could figure out the dang studio light set up I bought off craigslist! OH, the frusteration!
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterBeate
I've been telling my husband not to get me anything because there are some minor renovations we want to do to our house and I've virtuously said that we should put our money there this year, but just between us, I'm thinking wistfully (wishfully?) of Photoshop CS4. Maybe if I get some sales at my Etsy shop... I HAVE to finish the calendars so I can post them!

Who wished for more time?...
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterShawna
uh-oh! this post completely increased my own wishlist! :p hope you're all having a great december!!
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered Commenters.patel
I'm wishing for a Tokina 11-16 mm super wide angle lens!! I've been saving money from photo shoots and sales and I'm getting close!!

December 2, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterabbey
I would love to have a Tamron lens for my Canon AE-1. I'm going old school and using 35mm, but I do use a digital all the time also. A digital SLR would be wonderful, when the prices are more affordable for me... :-)
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterCheryl
I am wishing for another year of great family times to capture and a bit more skill to do so! :)
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterKerry Dineen
Wishes is such a great word for December. LOVE it and LOVE B&H. Fun giveaway!
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterGayleV
Fantastic! I can always find something at B&H!
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterdivrchk
I really want either a zoom or prime lens for distance... only, I don't know what's best since I'm new at the SLR thing (so it probably won't be wrapped under the tree since *I* don't even know). There's always music and books, but even those I don't know what I want *most." Haha. Love the word choice this month!!
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterbree
Okay - my wish list is rather long, but I will start with the mac daddy. Canon 5d Mark II... After that everything else is just the gravy!
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterKristine
I would love The Fuji Instax Instant Cam. I miss my Polaroid and this seems like a decent replacement.
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAnn
one wish, for me, would be the Nikon 60mm 2.8 ED Micro-Nikkor lens. This lens would make the perfect portrait and macro lens. I am trying to start my own photography business and I am lacking all the major equipment necessary to facilitate the venture :)
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMelissa Morra
I am wishing for a Nikon D90.
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSharon
I'm trying to take it easy on the pockets of my loved ones this year, so all of my "wish list" items are inexpensive and mostly knitting or reading related. I do have a huge photography wishlist, where everyone on it costs $1500+. LOL

When I'm not working, I'm going to click and drool over every single link above!
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterKellee
The Fuji Instax us pretty tempting!
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSara
Lensbaby accessories for sure. Fish eye, soft lens, wide angle... Anything would do :)
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMeg
I'm wishing that Polaroid Type 55 was under the tree, and next to my menorah ( yep i celebrate both )
Also wishing for a nikon remote shutter release that works with my nikon D300, as I hear some of them don't.
How about more 4x5 quickload film, and that diana camera with a pinhole and some 120 film for that one.
I love dreaming and I love when dreams come true. And they do. They really do!
December 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterCatherine Just
I would love a Super Spy lens from Photojojo and some cool presets to use with the beta version of Lightroom. Oh, and a new camera strap and/or fashionista camera bag that's pretty cushy! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
