Eight is Great

Today is my youngest's birthday. He's eight; old enough to conduct an intelligent and interesting conversation. Young enough to still make me smile with his questionable sense of humor and incredibly innocent approach to life.

Of all the photos you take of your kids, I love the ones that embody exactly where they are at a particular age and stage of development. Here, he's still silly, while his older sister plays like a grown-up girl with a baby on her hip and no time anymore for leaf hats on rainy days and other kinds of foolishness.

Do you have a photo that seems to reflects the essence of an age? A picture that reminds you time is flying and this precious moment will pass?

I love the sentiment of this post and pic! I shared this quintessential shot of my daughter; a brand new six year old today. http://traceyclark.squarespace.com/blog/2009/6/26/quintessential-girlhood.html

I looked at my son this weekend and saw a glimpse of the "future him" as I enjoyed watching him so carefree in the pool.

Love the sentimentality of this...the preciousness of the 'moment'. In this image - the little one is only 14 weeks old...a sweet and playful age:

What a timely post. I just wrote a few days ago about how my son just suddenly seemed all grown up. There he was sitting across from me eating the pizza he made with my help AND eating from a glass plate (a grown-up privilege around here). I was suddenly struck by the fact that he's no longer my baby boy and no longer a toddler. Yet, he still had that smile that is so reminiscent of his baby days.

My big bog recently turned 6 years and he's full of goofy abandon:

It's interesting that when my two tots are running, they both have such joyful expressions. Here's my 3 yr old giggling as she nearly rolls down a hill:

I'm clearly experimenting with "double exposure" and these are my first attempts. Kinda fun!

i think that every photo i take right now is because i have a strong desire to capture the essence of every moment while i have the time - having a baby at home has made live in the moment but think about the future... he changes in some way almost every day: http://www.flickr.com/photos/djbeat/3672883624/

first holiday in sonoma & first time in the pool : )

I just posted a photo today of my son that I took at the blueberry farm the other day when we went blueberry picking. At 2, going anywhere and doing anything excites him. And he doesn't mind working hard either. He's such a joy.

This one of my son was just so HIM at the time. The diaper and Wiggles shoes, giant lollipop and huge smile showed him at his two year old best.

I have been looking through old photos from my film camera- all the darling shots when they were babies and this shot took me back a few years in time to my little bear, full of wonder.

People deserve very good life time and business loans or just bank loan can make it better. Because freedom is grounded on money state.
