I've got some heart shaped bokeh - my first year trying it and it is a lot of fun:

Christmas lights are my favorite, although I have yet to get the opportunity to capture any since I don't do decorations myself. I've been shooting snow, though, which is the next best thing if you ask me!

This weekend I'll be visiting Christmas Town USA here in NC. It's an entire town where all the houses put up decorations. I can't wait! Then, I'll have pictures with plenty of Christmas lights!

I spent last night photographing every ornament on my tree. I have no idea what I'm going to do with them, but it was fun all the same. :)

And last week, as I was enjoying a glass of merlot by tree light, I caught a whole lotta bokeh -

Nothing beats the glow of my son's face. He is so full of Christmas magic this year. I just want to bottle it up!

Road trips to see family during the holidays. A long drive provided time to play around with my camera over the last holiday weekend.

Such a lovely photo! I love everything about the holidays, truly. Took this shot from my living room window the other night - we don't have the tree up yet, but outside lights are on! http://www.flickr.com/photos/trudem/5248293616/

I don't put up Christmas lights but I did get some bokeh photographing a work-in-progress needlepoint Christmas stocking: http://instamaticgratification.wordpress.com/2010/12/09/318365/

I tried the Bokeh Masters Kit for the first time at a friend's house that already had her tree up. Looking forward to taking it with me to my family christmas in North Carolina.

I would have liked to catch other kinds of glowing, like a smile or a shining human expression. But I'm too far away from those who could give me that. So that's the glow I find outside, while thinking about my basic needs...

Oops - forgot to leave a note - it's the sparkle and the warm and playing ball and crazy dancing with our two kids on Friday night, which has unintentionally become pizza night, and sharing photos with good friends.

We had Christmas #1 yesterday and I love the way the sunlight was pouring in the dining room window and illuminating our table. This was my little hot cocoa station. :o)
