supergirl

She's the girl in two worlds. Outside the glass, but wholeheartedly believing she's inside the tank. A three foot tall testament that it's okay to dream. To be mesmerized by where wish you were. She dreams of the day she'll be able to glide through the water and drift effortlessly with sea turtles. But she gets so lost in her desire to be there, that she doesn't realize she's holding her breath. I've been there. Holding my breath. Holding out. Holding off the everyday moments. But I loved what Tracey said yesterday when she suggested that being present today doesn't mean you can't be filled with dreams for tomorrow.

Sometimes we just need to remember to breathe.

*In celebration of Give-away May, and also the fact that the next shipment will be here any minute (YAY!), we're giving away an Epiphanie bag of your choice! Don't forget to check out the new Lola in black! Leave a comment today, and one lucky winner will be chosen by tomorrow! Good luck!

I remember those days...they were magical. I still get that "lost in a real life dream" feeling sometimes. Little ones are the greatest reminders, aren't they? Love your bags! Thanks for the post!

I have been dreaming of Ginger for a while now. Could this be the universe telling me it's time to take the plunge and get that GF1 I have been coveting??? I think Ginger would be a great home for that, a few lenses, a point and shoot, geez, even netbook. Indeed, a girl can dream, can't she?
May 25, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKiki
I'd love to win.

This is such an adorable picture! That's the problem with being a grown up... you never stop to watch, play or imagine anymore as there's always something to do that has your mind distracted. Oh to be a child again... =)

{I'd love to win an epiphanie bag as well.. }

We should all take a moment and just breathe, could you imagine if everyone just took a deep breath a moment to think before they speak or react? What an incredibly different world.

I love that too, "Being present today doesn't mean you can't be filled with dreams for tomorrow." I'm at an age where most people would think I'm too old to dream of what tomorrow brings or to dream of the future. Yet I still dream. Running a business means straddling both worlds: the very present today and where I'm headed with what I have today. Some things get left behind -- just some crumbs -- and I bring the best parts with me -- for tomorrow.
