equal parts
Saturday, May 29, 2010 by Tracey Clark
Having a 12-year-old foodie in the house is equal parts bliss and tempatation. I couldn't resist these cookies she made on a number of levels. Obviously.
Share with us today the power of two (or more). Whether it's a before and after, a sequence of something, a collection of sorts, a gathering of goodness, or just plain incriminating evidence revealing the truth of the matter, share with us something that reminds us that there is always more to the story.

More to the story? This picture was taken about 2 minutes before that adorable little boy gave his sister a bloody nose while jumping on the bed.

One of my own diptychs that I think works okay is this one::

And then I love this one, which occurred naturally when I failed to wind the film far enough forward:

And here's the AFTER:

(Talk about temptation....)
These photographs work as a group, moving from a start to a finish. But they echo a bigger process of moving from a start to a finish.
how funny that you used the word foodie today. i used that word in my post yesterday. i can honestly say, i've never mentioned that word in all the time i've been blogging, so it was neat to see it here today. and thanks for reminding me from your prompt to add the before shots of my recipe that i shared yesterday:

originally, i only had the shots of the final prepared dish, and you made me remember that i had taken some while i was making it.

and in this diptych, there is a heartwarming story though it seems like an ordinary scene:

local milk delivery (which sadly just ended -- the farmer was too old and didn't have anyone to take over for him):

and Stephanie's cherries reminded me of this one of cherries on the tree and then canned:
