the perfect pair

Somehow my eye has been noticing all sorts of things that come in pairs lately. Sometimes they make for the perfect combination (like the couple above! don't you think they are just too cute?) and other times they are just plain odd.

So whether you're looking at lovebirds, food, shoes, friends or dogs and their owners... How about sharing those images that show all the interesting ways in which things are paired together around us?

Sweet photo! I especially love his smile.

I'm always looking for that perfect 'pair'. These two Border Collies are brother and sister:

oh, fantastic photo! reminds me of some photography i recently saw in a book called "hacienda la minita" about a coffee plantation/farm in south america.

i recently took some photos... for fun... of my brother being interviewed by a friend's daughter for her college journalism class. we went to a coffee shop for the interview {which i set up} and i so enjoyed taking pics of the two of them while they talked. i don't know why... perhaps because they were not really aware of my presence, as they were wrapped up in the interview. but at one point, i called over to get them to look over at the camera. i wanted to get a shot of the neat wall of art in the cafe, but i wanted their heads in the shot, too. i loved how this shot turned out... a pair of heads just barely in the shot.

My "pair" is a little bit different, but I love the voyeuristic nature of this shot.

When you mentioned pairs, I immediately thought of this photograph I captured at a Butterfly Garden.

Perhaps not the perfect pair, none the less more than one pair.

I know. These photos are snapshots complete with flash washout, but it is so hard to catch a toddler. My son thinks that matching items (veggie sticks, balls, etc.) need to kiss. He provides the "mwah" sound.
