Daily Practice

Today I was out at the lake with Ben. It was absolutely beautiful. The snow was so pretty....a perfect backdrop. I walked about snapping photos, soaking up the extra warm air. I paused for a few moments, took a deep breath and in that moment I felt a deep-down gratitude. Gratitude for an hour in my day, to just walk and think and BE

So good!

Ben and I walk each and every day...rain or shine, sleet or snow. We head out on the trail. It's a must for both of us....like sleeping, eating, breathing.... We just gotta do it. It's our daily practice, and I'm most grateful for it.

How 'bout you? What do you manage to do, everyday, no matter how crazy life gets? Please share with us today.

I love when you share your life with Ben
I walk almost everyday before work or on my lunch break and always take my camera - it gives me a chance to refresh

As a mom with a toddler, I do a lot of standing around the edges of the playground or trailing my son while he's at the petting zoo. We enjoy each other's company, but we each enjoy being absorbed in our own activity too. When he gets swept up by his imagination in a safe spot, I let myself get swept away by my camera...

Every day, seven days a week (most weeks), I hit the treadmill and/or rowing machine. Not only have I lost weight, I just feel better and have more energy. In her book, "The Creative Habit", Twyla Tharp recommends a routine every day to get your creative juices flowing. Doing this really does clear my mind and strengthens my body. All the better for photography ... and life in general.

Ben looks like such a curious pup....he's adorable. I make time for camera time....even if I don't do anything with what I shoot.....I just shoot. I love the world behind the lens.

Love this post! It's so true -- each day, our dogs often lead the way and take us outside to appreciate our surroundings!

who, for the sake of pleasing the king, had been obliged to assume an amiable mien towards this whole rustic rabble of Flemish burgomasters, and to regale them at his H?tel de Bourbon, with a very "pretty morality, allegorical satire, and farce," while a driving rain drenched the magnificent tapestries at his door. http://www.digbbc.com
