Waiting

Spring is defintely in the air and nothing lets me know more than the tree in my yard.  From my balcony I can follow it's progress into the new season by it's daily changes, my camera always at the ready.  When it seems that spring will never get here, I just need to follow the progress of my favorite tree to know it's not too far away.  Waiting is not something I'm very good at, but to see the tree come alive right in front of me makes the wait so worth it.

How about you? What changes have you captured lately?  Please, do share.

Such a lovely pair of images! It will be months yet until we see the same thing here, sadly. In the meanwhile I'm enjoying the snow melting in the sun:

Oh, I'm longing for spring too! And trying to catch every one of the rare rays of sun I can until we get there :)

No signs of spring anywhere in my world. I've decided that I need to make my own color:

Sadly, we are still living on the planet Hoth, and will be until the 8 feet of snow and ice get around to melting. But to keep track of this year's progress, I watch the changes in my friend's body - she is due at the end of May - eagerly awaiting the warmth and a new baby -

I am so envious! It will be a couple months before we see such beauty. For now I have to create my own with store-bought sunshine.

We have received about six inches of new snow in the last couple of days so I had to buy my spring at the grocery store, but they will help tide me over for a bit longer.

I love these two images. Hope and spring. Budding change.
My biggest changes lately are about embracing my passion and sharing my work. It is exhilarating and scary! But I am doing it and that's the point. I shared a photo of a recently completed piece today. Talk about brave.

I miss the beautiful tree we had in our old backyard. It always signaled spring to me: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephaniecourt/4851557393/in/set-72157624307308583/

Right now, though, daffodils are my "sure sign" of spring being on the way! http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephaniecourt/5427237038/

I have a favorite tree that I watch through the seasons in my yard. I've recently taken a photo of it that I seem to be using everywhere. You know when you take a ton of pictures, and for a little while, there is one you just really really like...this one is it for me.

You're so lucky living so far south in the USA. Up here in Canada we are months away from spring, or signs of spring. I LOVE your diptych. There are no changes that hint to spring up here, not yet, so the changes are inward.

It's still cold. Dark still comes early. But we are having waaaay more sunshine now, which is a nice prelude to spring!

Just wanted to let you know that I was having a less than lovely day. I clicked on to your site because your images cheer me up. These really did the trick. I suddenly felt hope that winter would end (and so would the winter blahs!). Thank you so much!

Are those pics from this year? It's 25 degrees below freezing with the windchill today here! I must say that I'm scorchingly jealous! (Which I suppose at least warms me up a tad.)

It's a cold winter day here in Colorado today, but I've been trying to embrace winter and have some fun with it. Sure is easier than fighting it!

I live in the southern hemisphere and here at present it's high summer - everything is in full bloom - even the weeds!

your images are so perfect! I was really lucky today as we suddenly got proper sunshine (probably the first time in weeks if not months!) I went to the park and was looking for the first signs of spring. Was quite funny to then read this post:-)
