Every once in a while a product come along that not only totally enraptures me but also meets every single wish on my wish list. Simple, beautiful, mindful, well-designed, high-quality, easy to create, nice to the touch, visually stunning, etc. etc. Enter Pinhole Press. Talk about Inspiration!

They pretty much had me at hello; when I found out they used Mohawk Fine Papers I knew it would be good! Next, they enticed me with the beauty of their website. And when I got the opportunity to make a photo journal of my very own? Let me just say that the interface made me giddy. Simple, sexy and super-fun to use, I enjoyed creating my book as much as I enjoyed choosing what photos would go into it. No, I am not kidding and highly recommend popping over there if for nothing else, just to play with your photos and see amazing they look in the gorgeous products Pinhole Press has to offer. Come on. Have you ever seen a day planner this beautiful?

All that and I haven't even mentioned that I am 100% over the moon smitten with the most beautiful little journal that came to my door soon after I ordered it, which features my own images both on the cover and adorning the inside pages.

This has been my favorite picture for some weeks now and I think it would be great as a cover on my journal. Just to remind me of the beauty of "lightness":

oh, it would be hard to decide. their products look so lovely!

on a different day, I'd probably make a different choice, but today maybe I'd choose this one:

or this one:

These books are fantastic. I love the pictures...

I'm all over this one! My favorite picture of myself: http://www.kimberlygauthier.com/photography/self-portraits-happy-birthday/5186/

I love the tulip festival, these are fast becoming my favorite flowers: http://www.kimberlygauthier.com/flowers/skagit-valley-tulip-festival-finally/5177/

I will definitely put Pinhole Press on my radar. Because now I want a planner :)
How to pick only one? I suppose it's a good thing I go through journals every several months because I have a whole slew of photos I would like as covers. But since I always pick a journal cover based on my mood at the time, here's the image I'd use now: http://www.flickr.com/photos/18572605@N02/4499408435/in/photostream

(or i could be tempted to do a mosiac a la Elise Blaha: http://eliseblaha.typepad.com/golden/2009/02/new-one.html)

Decisions decisions! :)

Oh, wow. Well, this is something I simply can't choose between now and Thursday at midnight. I will have to agonize over it, fret and furiously debate in my head. And have so much fun doing it! Thanks for the opportunity...and the idea to use these as great gifts.

I am so loving the day planners! I have so many already, but I just can't bear to get them all messied up... I know it's nonsense. But I love potential, and day planners and notebooks are something I love to collect, both blank and with notes and dreams I have written inside. Call it another obsession...
So it was so difficult to decide on a picture for a cover! But here is one that really speaks to me:

Oh their products look fabulous! I've been looking into photo books recently so this comes at a perfect time. Thank you for the links!

A cover image you ask? THIS would certainly be the cover of mine. All sorts of crazyness happened while I took this picture but it turned out just as I envisioned it. It's one of my favorite pictures that I have taken so far and it makes me very happy just to look at it. Who would not want that in the cover of their book right? ;)

I'd love to do a book of tulip images - I have a ton!

This might be the cover: http://www.flickr.com/photos/shawnac/5322789496

I would loe the opportunity to create something tangible with my photographs. In looking through the images that I have taken recently, I chose this one for my cover. For me it symbolizes several things: my new-found fascination with shadows, with travel and urban abstracts. I also am pleased with the post-processing which incorporates one of Kim Klassen's textures.

What a terrific idea! I love journals and notebooks with photographs on the cover. For my cover, I would choose a photograph I took literally through the key-hole in Guatemala. I love the possibility of everything that lies ahead:

I make my photo books with another company but they don't offer planners or journals. What a great looking product! Gift ideas are rushing through my mind. I will surely be on the lookout for photos for just that.

Today I would use this for the cover: http://flic.kr/p/9Cjj9e

I would use this photo of my great-grandmother. It was the only time I was ever able to photograph her and really spend much time with her - during that hospital visit. Always reminds me of the images I can create when I am emotionally attached.
