Every once in a while a product come along that not only totally enraptures me but also meets every single wish on my wish list. Simple, beautiful, mindful, well-designed, high-quality, easy to create, nice to the touch, visually stunning, etc. etc. Enter Pinhole Press. Talk about Inspiration!

They pretty much had me at hello; when I found out they used Mohawk Fine Papers I knew it would be good! Next, they enticed me with the beauty of their website. And when I got the opportunity to make a photo journal of my very own? Let me just say that the interface made me giddy. Simple, sexy and super-fun to use, I enjoyed creating my book as much as I enjoyed choosing what photos would go into it. No, I am not kidding and highly recommend popping over there if for nothing else, just to play with your photos and see amazing they look in the gorgeous products Pinhole Press has to offer. Come on. Have you ever seen a day planner this beautiful?

All that and I haven't even mentioned that I am 100% over the moon smitten with the most beautiful little journal that came to my door soon after I ordered it, which features my own images both on the cover and adorning the inside pages.

Rest assured, this journal is not your average photo journal. Far from it. This journal is a work of art; a high end, fine art journal that showcases my work to it's full potential! What photographer doesn't want that? I have been dreaming of a book like this which is why I'm so excited to be singing their praises today and am eager to be putting Pinhole Press (and Pinhole Pro for those of you with your own photography businesses) on your radar for the coolest photo products around.

Your book looks like it came out beautiful. :0)

There are so many photobook companies out there. I am in the midst of creating my first one as a mother`s day gift. She will love and cherish it, I am certain!

Below is what I would use as my own cover, if given the choice - though it seems I can`t settle on just one. The selections are natural, bright, full of life and serenity all at the same time.

I'd love to create such a cover.
My boys turned 5 (last week) and 2 today and I intend to start a yearly letter to them, where I'd describe my ideas of that specific year to them. When they'll turn 18 (or so) I'd hand it out and I'm pretty sure, they'd love to read about themselves. Unfortunately I already missed year 1 to 5 for the one and 1 to 2 for the little one. I'd start this with much more pleasure with such a nice journal and their very own cover.

The big one would get this cover:

For the little one I'D choose this:

Thumbs up, I'd love to be the winner. THX

Wow - can I have one of everything! Thanks so much for sharing. Not sure which of my photos I would use on a cover. I have a few favorites. Awesome idea!
April 28, 2011 | Unregistered Commenterisaida
This was a hard choice for me. I would choose different pictures for different journaling subjects.

For the simple things-

For the dreams- (pic of my daughter-that I adore. Winter at the beach-soaking in the sun)

Wow, beautiful! I would be grateful to win as it would motivate me to journal more. Something I need to do more frequently. For my journal cover, I think it would be a toss up between these two:

Great opportunity. Thank you!

I love pinhole press and all the link this far. So many pretty pictures and not enough time in my day to enjoy them. I like simple cross process photos so I would choose this photo, http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimbostrikes/5076967206/in/photostream.
Flowers make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, so writing in my journal this pretty would be awesome.

I found your site via the Pinhole facebook page. Love it!

(I just had a boudoir shoot done by alliebphotography in Parkersburg, WV. One of the detail shots would be absolutely perfect for the cover of one of these books!)

I just love this picture of my daughter even though she's tiny in the composition... mainly because it was her idea and she was playing along with me taking pictures. :)
