daddy's girl

My father and I, circa 1972.

Today, here in the States, we honor our fathers. You didn't think we'd miss it did you?

Daughters, let's pay homage to the father-figures in our lives. Share a thought and/or a photo in celebration of these phenomenal men.

I'm happy you didn't miss it. It's a wonderful day.

So sweet! How you must treasure this photo.

Recently, I was sitting in a restaurant with my dad and the lighting was perfect. I took out my camera and he gave me the same look my kids give me when I take their photo.

This year I turned 30 and my man surprised me with a visit from my parents!
That first day we ate lunch at Pike Market then took the ferry over to my god-parents acreage where we all feasted and slept over. I took this pictures on the ferry ride over. What a sweet memory.

From my stash of old photos that I took as a child I found ways to honor Dad and Mom both.

Love that image. Reminds me of when I used to go rock pooling with my dad.
