sweetness

Some people seek adventure and prefer constant activity in their lives. And while I fully admire these personality types, I am not naturally that way. It's not that I don't enjoy new and exciting experiences. But my pace to life is slow and steady. And while this fact often makes me feel guilty or lazy, I am finally starting to come to terms with it.

My idea of a perfect day includes a bright Sunday morning spent drinking coffee and sharing cinnamon rolls with my family. Throw in a walk to the park and I'm a happy camper. Simple and sweet.

What's your idea of a perfect day?

Blowing bubbles on a warm spring day with my great kids. Just taking time to live in the moment.

thanks for this post, paige. due to circumstances i have had to embrace a very ordinary life in a very ordinary place, while my adhd brain is constantly craving for adventure... :-()))
i have learned to appreciate my surroundings and am discovering extra-ordinary things every day!
my perfect day includes driving my electric scooter 'round my neighborhood, capturing ordinary things with an extra ordinary twist :-()

Similar to an earlier reply, life has forced me to slow down--and I couldn't be more grateful. There is too much beauty in the world to race by and miss it.

Now, I love early morning hikes. I had no idea that we had such great hiking trails until I went out to find them.

Such a sweet picture! My mom was visiting from the west coast so we decided to take a road trip. It was the perfect day!

Funny...I was just thinking about learning new things and the sort of mini chaos it brings. Right now that feels sweet to me! http://journeyleaf.typepad.com/journeyleaf/2012/05/practice-and-compassion.html

Well, I'm pretty much the opposite ;) I am always looking for the next adventure. Here's one from my recent trip to Southern Africa. I took this one on a mokoro ride into the Okavango Delta

I too live a quiet, orderly life. I do like to get away every now and then though. Here's one of my very memorable trips

I've gotta say the perfect day is when I can spend time with my friends, try something new, listen to all my favorite songs, and laugh with my family. Oh, and cookies are a nice touch, too. :)

I love this question.
Lately, I've been going on lots of bike rides. A sunny day bike ride + walk in the forest + my camera and some simple snacks = a pretty perfect day to me!

A perfect day is spending time with my family, playing games or having a movie marathon with our favorite pasta, home-baked cake, and homemade ice cream.
The slow and steady seems to be how most of my days start, once I get going adventuring on trails with my dog and my camera is part of what makes each day perfect. My sweet old guy will patiently wait when I get lost behing the lens ---

Standing atop a sailboat, hair blowing in the wind, soaking in the turquoise waters of Biscayne Bay and feeling alive in every fibre.
