a happy accident.

This was not what I intended for this photo, but when I discovered it amongst the hundred or so shots I had taken, I quite liked it.  Sure, it's out of focus and blurry, but it has an etheral quality to it and I'm lovin' the bokeh goin' on.  Don't you just love it when you find an unexpected gem tucked amongst the photos you've taken?   So today, this is my happy little accident, imperfections and all.

Today, share your little gem of a find with us, and don't forget this month's word is discovery.  So go.  Discover.  And be sure to add your discovery images to our OWP flickr pool.

I love 'happy accidents!' This is one of my more recent accidents. I knew the scene would be "cluttered," but was pleasantly surprised how all of the clutter worked together...

I took this photo by accident when I didn't realize my iPhone camera was still on while walking, the result after using Snapseed is the view of a sky as you lay on the grass in the park on a beautiful day:

I love happy little accidents in photography. Often they are my favorite images! I recently shot an event for a dance company and this overexposed gem has become my favorite shot of the 2 days! Thanks for sharing yours.....I love the blur and the shadows!

thanks for the post, chris! i love it!
at the moment i am discovering contemplative photography and learning my own way of doing it (very important!)
this morning i tried to capture something i really 'saw', or rather 'perceived'
then when i browsed through my shots, the first one was indeed a happy accident!
i absolutely love it!!!!
i suspect i accidentally discovered an alien planet or at least a separate (visual) reality lol!

I didn't even see the dog paws when I took this, but now I love it!

I love spontanious moments!!! I was taking some pictures yesterday and a bicyclist happened to make his way into my shot. It really made the picture for me.

Love the happy accidents! At a little photo gathering with a couple of friends recently, this one happened while I was showing one of the girls the camera functions ~
