Oh my..... there's nothing lovelier than an old brick house with a wrought-iron fence along the front. Yes please! The lines, the depth, the texture....all blending together so perfectly. It's heart-stopping, for me.

This beautiful antique home belonged to Thomas Mayne Daly, the first mayor of the City of Brandon (in 1882). It's now the Daly House Museum. I've been admiring the new, yet oh so perfectly old-looking wrought-iron fence, all summer long. Finally, tonight, I photographed it.... I'm so glad I did. Sometimes you just gotta stop and take the time.... it's totally worth it!

Today share something that stopped you in your tracks, pulled you over, made you turn around, go back and CLICK..... We'd love to see it too.

What a gorgeous old fence! And - this neat little pile of balanced stones - definitely made me stop and take notice:

Two of my kids had a weekly art class earlier in the year, so my youngest boys and I would roam the neighborhood while we waited. The empty public pool caught my eye week after week, so one day I took some pictures ...

Cooling off at a local museum...a new installation on the floor stopped me in my tracks!

Although I have had those moments...turn-the-car-around kind of things...
most of mine anymore are walking moments, such as:

(a fence in the middle of this post, did stop me in my tracks)
Recently, I've been in here-I-am-so-what-do-I see-from-where-I am moments:

This was taking while sitting in a chair, relaxing, while my husband was
putting the finishing touches on our campground set-up.
I looked up instead of looking forward towards the lake, and saw this pine...
and it looked like a composition to use for an altered photo.

Your fence is terrific in black and white; love the blurred but recognizable background.

Yes, yes sometimes you really must stop and get the camera because the moment is never going to come again.

I stopped in my tracks, took a deep breath and picked up the camera to snap a photo of my biggest girl, playing in the beach fields with her new bow and arrow. http://www.babybythesea.net/2012/07/this-moment-arrow-moon.html

Most times I take my mother-in-law's gardens for granted. They're huge and she's always adding to them. I'm not really a garden kind of girl, being a city girl and all.... but one day this literally made me stop and realize that her garden is so bursting with color and texture and beauty that I couldn't help but spend most of the day taking tons of pics. Made me appreciate all the hard work and love she puts into her garden. Can't wait to print out the portraits and frame them for her at Christmas!

Just last week I was driving along a country road toward home. I was anxious to get home but it was as if the the scene I just passed had a magnetic force pulling me back. I quickly stopped the car, turned around and shot this. . .

I'm glad I did.

I was driving in the country and saw the most gorgeous field of sunflowers, all smiling at me, eager to be photographed. I couldn't stop at the time, but went back a few days later and spent almost an hour in the field....
