Hope Has You Covered

First, there was a nest and an egg.  And then these two amazing little creatures.

I don't know what makes me more hopeful--the way that these tiny birds continue to thrive each day or the fact that they have each other for this delicate part of the journey.

Who's got you covered as you gain the strength and confidence you need to believe you can fly?  Who's there for you with just what you need when you need it the most?  Show us your portraits of kindness and courage today.  Let's remind each other we're not in this alone.

We are so different, he & I... yet it works.
He is my chosen one, and I am his - one day at a time.
We picked each other. Twice.
His quiet confidence in me is often that extra little bit of boost that I need.
(Now, if only he'd be willing to pose for more photos! ;-))

this is just beautiful. it almost made me cry. what an amazing sight to see!

i have recently come to know a friend from high school after 20 years. we were not friends in high school, but found each other recently through facebook. he has become one of my dearest friends recently, and has been there for me so much since i lost my job. we both have a passion for photography, and go shooting together often. it's been such a blessing beyond what i could ask for and helped me get through this time of uncertainty.

here are some shots of his feet on a recent photoshoot/photography seminar that we went to. they are the last two pictures in the post. sorry about all the other pics that don't apply. :)

When I took this photo, I was not feeling very strong. However, after the photo and writing what I did about it...I realized that we all have a strength that we don't always recognize, but it is there.

I took this in a cemetery (I know, not the place most people think of to take photos). I watched this old man put flowers on a woman's grave and then walk away. He did not appear to have a car, he did not appear to live close and he was very unkept, but that day, he gave me strength.

Amazing photo!

I just returned from a trip to my brother and SIL's house to meet my newest nephew, the youngest of 4 boys. This Mama, even in the midst of the hectic life of raising 4 boys under 7, manages to show each one the individual love they deserve.
This moment in particular was indicative of her nature and the courage she gives me to be the Mama I need to be to my girls.

This picture is probably one of my favorite pictures of my best friend Jessica. It shows her will power to drag me into the snow for a hike through the woods...all the while encouraging me to snap pictures while she hunts for the easiest way to get up the mountain. She's patient and kind with me, but doesn't take no for an answer. If she says we're following the creek for a mile, then that's exactly what we'll do. She's my better half, my strength, and my inspiration.

That is such a beautiful picture. I can get over the detail of the little bodies. The brand new feathers coming out...it's amazing. =)
