Love Thursday: leaping for love

Recently, an acquaintance of mine instant messaged me.  She's someone I've only met a few times, and really, other than her last name, I don't know her at all.  "Check this out," she said, giving me a link to her Flickr stream. "This is my new guy.  He's so fantastic."

Another good friend recently added a post to her blog, before quickly removing it:  "I think I'm falling in love."

Even my 4-year-old daughter starts jumping around like a banshee when the little boy across the street comes outside to play.

There's something about new love, isn't there?  It's been a while for me: I've been happily married for going on 7 years now, and while I love my husband deeply and wouldn't trade what I feel for him for anything in the world, it's not the same as that oh-my-God-I-think-he-actually-likes-me-why-can't-I-stop-thinking-about-him flush you get when you're falling for someone new.  And even if it's at the start of a love that is destined to end, it's still all just so ... intoxicating.

Happy Love Thursday, all.  Please leave your links to your images of love in the comments, below, and check out what mainemomma2007 uploaded in our Flickr pool -- the beginning of a new love, maybe?

Have a wonderful, love-filled day.

Oh my. The things I could write about you two. How you get along fabulously 95% o the time, but during that 5% you fight like there is no tomorrow and make me want to pull whatever is left of...

So true Karen...right at the beginning when you just can't stop thinking about someone...*le sigh* Love that photo!

This week some simple "autumn love blooms" that I see on my walk with my dogs every morning (and several times a day):

Happy Love Thursday to all!
New love can be found everywhere - new friends, babies, even new passion for other hobbies.

My LT this Thursday is about my father's love for my son:

I just barely talked about this in my post yesterday. Well, sort of. It works for LT, so I am adding it. It originally was meant for yesterday's Now post.

Another kind of stomach tightening (in a good way) love is that of new friends. I touched on that A LOT this week.
I am writing about loving oneself this week at
http://o-scientist.blogspot.com/2008/10/loving-kindness.html

Sometimes it is so much easier to love someone else, but be hard on ourselves.

Happy Love Thursday!

Oh, how timely! Because I'm falling, I'm falling...I just can't write about it right now!

Instead, I traveled back in time this week to thank my mom for all of the love she poured into our Halloween costumes. God, I miss her.

The loves of my life, my children.
Making a wish, I used his wishes for things that I would like to never happen, it would be nice to wish away the bad things.
