Love Thursday: June 5, 2008

060508_600.jpg

Something different for Love Thursday this week:  I'm a big fan of the blog by Pia Jane Bijkerk -- her site features beautiful design, thoughtful words, and some stunning images -- some her own, others found in various places around the internet.  As it happens, Pia is currently working on a "collective book project" entitled "My Heart Wanders:  A Collection of Subtle Hearts in Special Places."   Everyone is invited to join this project:  simply submit a photo with a tiny heart shape in an interior setting, and the heart shape must be made or "found" by you.  There is a panel of judges who will choose the photographs to be included in the anthology, and the judges are pretty formidable photographers themselves (click here to see the list, with links to their blogs).

The story of how Pia came up with the idea can be found here.

I'd submit this image of the window in our breakfast area, above; however, the heart wasn't actually found by me, since it was a gift from my sister-in-law, and I was the one who decided where it should hang in our home.  Still, I encourage all you great heart-finders to take a look through your archives to see if any of your shots fit the bill -- deadline for the submissions is June 15, 2008.  And of course, I encourage each and all of you even more to add your links of love (of whatever kind) to the comments section below -- and check out the images left by natalamc and lizgrandmaison in our Flickr pool for inspiration.

And may you find yourselves in warm spaces filled with love today.

So whats stopping you from buying a gift or taking your loved one out to dinner more often? Surely not the price. Theres loads of discount coupons on the net for all the major retail stores and restaurants.

First time posting, thanks for the great inspiration! This is actually from sarah-ji's Sunday School post http://shuttersisters.com/home/2008/5/18/sunday-school-i-heart-bokeh.html a while back. Happy love Thursday...I sort-of "found" these hearts though not really posting for the project, just LT... have a great day!

Even if that heart isn't "found" by you, I like it! :)

My submission for Love Thursday this week is just a self-portrait of me and my youngest daughter.

This is my first Love Thursday photo submission - as far as 'weeds' go I think these are my favourite. Still debating whether to pull them up or not!

Hah, I just noticed a little heart shape last night, but it was made of blood that had dripped from meat...needless to say, I didn't grab for the camera (but I thought about it!) ;)

This week, tokens of love:

I found a random heart last night, too. But it isn't today's LT post... maybe next week.

I found this in my yard last week, and I was happily surprised. Though we have thousands of these nuts in the yard, I've never seen this distinct heart shape in one of them.

I didn't find this one inside so I won't be submitting it, but as I was walking a few days ago I did see one that I posted on my blog. http://amykiane.typepad.com/ordinarily_extraordinary/2008/06/little-reminders.html#comments So glad I had my point and shoot with me.

Even if you didn't find the heart, still lovely. It looks like the flowers are reaching up to it.

I swear that I posted mine last night, but it's not showing up today....

I love the photo from Love Thursday today. It's so very lovely.

My Love Thursday is of my daughter and her first experience with a kitten. Her face clearly says love while the kitten's face says panic :)

I guess that to receive the <a href="http://lowest-rate-loans.com/topics/personal-loans">personal loans</a> from creditors you must have a great motivation. However, once I've received a sba loan, because I wanted to buy a building.
