Leap of Faith

I am forever fascinated by feet shots. Funny thing, since my feet are far from pretty. There is just something about them I find fascinating and common all at once. Seeing where others stand, how they stand, what they have on their feet, all catch my eye and hold my attention. Some bare foot and carefree, perhaps dipping their toes in new waters. Others pretty and feminine in a great pair of heels, headed for a night out. Some commemorating a place, or time, or perhaps simply celebrating a new pair of shoes. What girl doesn't love that?

Lately I am loving shots of leaping, lifting off, and jumping. There is just something utterly joyful and hopeful in these shots. So what are you feeling today? Are you feeling grounded? Or are you ready to take a leap with me?

Show us where you stand.

Picture and words courtesy of Kristin Zecchinelli (aka Maine Momma).  We are very happy to report that she will be joining us here as a regular contributor. We're giddy!

Wonderful post and beautiful image, I just love the colors! Just two weeks ago my feet were basking in the sun:

And now I am encouraging people to use their feet for photography inspiration by taking 100 steps and sharing where it takes them:

Well this isn't me leaping but it's my daughter leaping in the leaves the other day:

Her jump is how I feel about fall, I'm just not talented enough to take a photo of myself doing it.

PS. thought I recognized this pic as maine momma

Right now I'm feeling grounded. I just got a promotion at work which has left me a tad apprehensive, but excited for the monumental change this is going to make for my family. So in the security that our finances will have very soon, I am grounded.
Your shot is gorgeous, as always.

This was taken yesterday. The leaves were so beautiful I stopped my truck, hopped out on the side of the road, & seized the moment.

That photo is fantastic! The color and movement are amazing. I agree with everyone else too, that the shoes are great.

I am fairly new here, but I took these shots of my 2 y.o.'s feet yesterday, and thought I'd play along.
