totally random

The more you seek out photo ops, the more you find them. Once you open your eyes to really seeing the world around you, everything you come accross represents inspiration and possibility.

And, chances are, you'll also find a million more random things than you'd ever thought were possible.

Case in point: Exhibit A.

My daughter and I discovered this on our walk. There are no better words perhaps than "so random".

Today, let's see what totally random shots you've captured! You know, the ones that defy any sense or meaning. Humor us!

I had an interesting find during a recent walk in Paris just in time for Fashion Week.

I love to shoot randomly abandoned things like that - they're triggers for my imagination, little pieces of a larger story. Like here - an abandoned glove in the middle of the cold Norwegian winter:

I was snow shoeing last winter and found this. Your picture made me think of it.

I love random! Sometimes it's a random thing - like your image - and sometimes it's a random placement of things that just naturally becomes a beautiful composition.

I can explain it - someone found that shoe and put it there so the owner would see it!

I suppose this would be random. It's a very macho boat race. I enjoyed it anyway:)

i once happened upon this tree strung with purple yarn. so random, yet so pretty. made me think of Harold and the Purple Crayon. i bet some birds had some very pretty nests that year.

I found beauty in the randomness of how my husband threw the garden hose over the corral fence so he could mow.

I don't know that there's anything more random than a two-year-old's handiwork:

aww some little girl lost her shoe. what is most amazing about random shots is actually having a camera with you when you find them. I don't know how random this is, but I'm glad for once I had my camera with me walking past this little guy.

I'm not really a bug lover, but this weird bug landed on the outside of the window of the office building where I work, so I had a chance to examine him from underneath. I guess that's pretty random: http://www.flickr.com/photos/anngeedee/5040780320/in/photostream/

Now this is random and I hope it will raise a giggle. While at a friend's house, I caught this hen admiring herself in the mirror :-)

I went out shooting recently. However, my best shot that day came when I walked in the house and saw the light on this toy. I realized the toy helped tell the story. How random is that? Deliberately do all that planning and then like the unplanned one the best.

Good spotting! I love the little shoe. I am trying really hard to find little gems along the paths I travel each day.

I love the randomness that I find after a little one has been at our house - a princess shoe hidden in the dog food...my little pony under my pillow...or the blondies, all decked out and ready to hit the town ;)
