can you Picture Summer?

I'm not the kind of mom who counts the days of the school year down until summer. No way. And I'll be the first to admit that I enjoy my time far too much. But, this year there are two little words that are getting me more excited than usual for the coming season: Picture Summer!

For those of you who joined us for Picture Spring, I do hope you come along for our Summer saunter too. The prompts all all new with a twist on the season! For those of you who didn't participate but are determined to join the splashy summer inspiration, then pop over to the Picture Summer registration page and sign up for 30 days of photo fun. The more the merrier!

In celebration of Giveaway May and the fact that I am bursting at the seams about Picture Summer, we'll be giving away 3 free registrations. Just leave a comment between now and Sunday at midnight to be entered in the random drawing. And while you're here help us all get into the spirit of summer by sharing something splashy!

The winners of the Picture Summer registrations go to Lucy, Vanessa, Mama DB. Congrats ladies!!

Although I am still an amateur working towards perfecting an amazing joy in my life (photography), I've never participated in a photo a day project. I love to have my camera in hand and soaking up all that life presents. I would love to be a part of this photo a day project. Summertime represents the innocence of childhood present and past, juicy bold colors, laughter, freedom...really anything your heart desires! Here's a moment I caught with my daughter outside in her "sunshine" t-shirt. She's ready and so am I !

Yay! I was hoping you'd do a Picture Summer. I didn't think I'd have time for Picture Spring and regretted not signing up for it. I will sign up for this course, free or not. Looking forward to the course as much as the arrival of warm, sunny days with my little boys.

I do love summer, my kids are at a fun age that includes some fun times during the summer, simple times, but fun nonetheless...
the beach, the smell of sunlotion on bodies, sand in your ears, tan kids, lazy and unpredictable days...yum!

I'm sooo looking forward to having my kids home, no more rushing around. Lazy days at the beach.

An oldie but one I frequently turn to during the winter months:

I am picturing a summer with less places to be and more time to just be! I love the magic light at 8:30pm in July and the warm rain in August Dripping popsicles and running in the sprinklers! Lazy afternoons spent reading and dreaming! Yum! Even with the heat, I LOVE summer!

Thanks for the opportunity!

I would love to join Picture Summer - I miss the prompts from Picture Spring :)

Summer for me is making the most out of it, since we don't always have very high temperatures or nice weather in the north of Europe. This is one of my favourite shots from England showing exactly that: http://www.flickr.com/photos/85057042@N00/3757737296/

Tracey I am with you - I kinda get anxious knowing my kids will look to me to entertainment and activities - ACK! Having a photo project will get me out of the house more... can't wait it should prove to be a MUCH better summer, last year kinda sucked it. I am going to rent a camera just for fun for July, I'm spending 2 weeks on the East Coast and I want to shoot my heart out!
can't wait for summer!

It's not summer here yet, but when it is I will definitely picture it. I've been longing this whole long and cold winter for that!

This would be a fantastic re-entry into all things Tracey!! You continue to amaze me!!

I used to have one of those Brownie cameras when I was a kid. It's what got me interested in photography. The photo brought back memories.

Summer is my main picture taking season. I'm off of work 'cause I'm a teacher. I get out and explore in the warmth and sunshine with my trusty digital camera, but I can also be found being even more creative with my film SLR. Bring on summer!!!!
