Harvesting

I recently read a quote by Hundertwasser that said "Painting is to dream. When the dream
is over, I don t remember anything I dreamed about. The painting, however, remains. It is the harvest of my dream."
I thought that was a perfect quote for our Photography as well. On the daily basis, we pay attention to our surroundings, we enearth feelings, we reap best moments, and we find a way to make our vision tangible, lasting... We indeed work on the harvesting of our dreams.
I just love that as we're gathering bits and pieces of our lives, we are actually assembling something really powerful that will remain. It is so exciting for me to think that someday when we are long gone, our work may still live, feeding the inspiration of others, and consequently, continuing to produce more and more crops of nourishing Art in this world.
Now, show us: What sorts of beautiful images have you been harvesting lately?
...........

As for the blog post...I have been watching my beatiful 3 and 5 year old daughters 'save' caterpillars the last few days and I am so inspired by their sense of wonder and amazement and love for these little creatures that will soon cacoon and have a whole new life. I need to capture it on camera, and am now more moved to do so!
On the photo, this woman is beautiful in a unique way. How I would love to be her apprentice for one day where I can learn the true, valuable meaning of "Harvesting".
here is one of my recent paintings.
