When you're smiling...

“A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as no one needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.”

We’re celebrating faces this month, and nothing brings more joy than a genuine beaming smile.

It’s Friday and summer is in full swing, so there should be a lot to smile about. What’s making you happy today?, show us your sweetest smile...

“When you’re smiling, When you’re smiling, The whole world smiles with you.....”

I always find that smiles are contagious, I end up smiling myself when I'm behind the camera looking at a smile though the viewfinder

I agree with Paul above - completely contagious. Just reading about it made me smile.
My favorite "smile" photo is of my nieces - I was hugging on one and the other didn't like it. She took her away from me. And smiled after she conquered her aunt.

I wish someone could have seen the HUGE smile on my face yesterday when I saw my new blog design for the first time! I got Rita of Coffee Shop Designs to re-do my old blog design & WOWEE!!!!! It's SO ME! She nailed it! And then as if that was not enough, we discovered we live only a few miles apart! We are meeting next week. How cool is that?! Check it out: http://www.thewayiseeitthroughmylens.blogspot.com

Oh...you will see some smiles there too!

Thinking about my next adventure! That's what makes me smile :D

I agree about smiles being contagious. The people who have the worst expressions are the ones I smile the biggest at, because I know they need it big time.

This is not during the summer but everytime i look at it...i not only smile right back at him...i chuckle. We were at home, New Year's Eve, not drinking and partying, but playing an intense game of Family Feud. I took this photo right when my son won for his team and you can kind of tell how happy he was...kinda....

I like the smile in this photo because the woman really deeply hated having her photo taken, but in the end I got a genuine smile from her ... http://www.flickr.com/photos/shorelinesphotography/4782360924/in/set-72157624468168400/

Watching my 2 1/2 y.o. chase sunbeams always brings a smile to my face. Yesterday, I happened to have my point and shoot handy when he gave chase. And tonight I discovered that one photo completely captured his delight. What joy!
