to infinty and beyond

Perspective is everything.

When admiring this wall of images at CES 2011 (in the Microsoft booth) I was most taken with the perspective that leads us to believe that they could go on forever. An idea we can all relate to!

Share a shot today that leads your eye into infinite (and beyond)!

Nice shot, just wondering if you took it using the Nokia N8? and also will you be posting any pictures you shot with the N8 on here, I would be really interested seeing pictures taken with the N8 by a professional photographer.

Thanks,
N8 fan

I've got three I'd like to share:

At the beach last year, trying to capture blue light and sunset:

The same beach right before a storm:

I love the mystery that surrounds paths, whether or not you know where it leads, there is much promise as you set forth.

I think of infinity at the beginning of a year long Friday blog feature ... and in the first photo I look at the little red bird on the table before me ....

How ironic. Late last night/early this morning I looked out and realized that cold had reached a new level here, so I had to take pictures.

Here's my share;

When I was a kiddo, I used to worry that I'd eventually read all the books in the world . . . serious concern:) As an adult, much like reading, I realize there is always another picture to be taken. Another perspective to be captured! I love the endless supply of subjects and creativity.

I was hoping to capture the endless quality of the curving line in these photos:

Here's one of a country path my boyfriend and I discovered in Hawaii when we wandered away from the beach. I love how it feels as if the path and trees could go on forever: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephaniecourt/5245758832/

Oh, I love experimenting with leading lines like that! Here is one favourite of mine, echoing the idea that the road goes ever on and on...

Ocean scenes always give me a sense of infinity that for some reason also seems to comfort. This is a rainbow on the island of Maui, taken in November 2010.

Here's an old one from my travels.

Even though the island was less than 1 sq mile in size, the low tide line made it look as though it went on forever.
