sparkle and shine

As we inch further into the month of December, I'm finding that I have a magnetic attraction to sparkles. Here, in my part of the world, New England is still on the cusp of winter. We dance back and forth between seasons: the snow retreats and grass remains, autumn leaves long gone leave branches bare and cold.

I took a walk this day and had to shield my eyes from the glare. Yet I could not pull myself away from the sparkle and shine of the world around me. Now I seek it, not just in the winter wonderland that is knocking at our door, but I seek it with lights and pretty pretties as well.

No matter the day (or season) we all sparkle.
Today share with us how your part of the world is shining.

Yes - the cusp of winter. A perfect way to describe the bare trees...and the moon that rises too early in the late afternoon:

What lovely wintery shots. It's quite different in my part of the world.

Some summer blossoms, which, while aren't wintery, are very seasonal in colour;) :

Winter is really very beautiful, isn't it!

I was determined this year to be positive about what winter had to offer and relish every magical moment of it, so much so I have created an online collaboration to share the joys of winter through photography - 100 DAYS OF WINTER.

You can find out more about it here... http://www.angiemuldowney.co.uk/100-days-of-winter/

And there's a flickr group here which has really knocked my socks off with all its wintry beauty... http://www.flickr.com/groups/100daysofwinter/

There's no snow in Virginia right now, but there's just something about the sparkle of a snow globe...and also the sparkle in my daughter's eyes the first time she saw it lit up. She's 20 years old now, but she's still like a kid when it comes to Christmas decorations...I wouldn't have it any other way.

An early frost encrustes scarlet Japanese maple leaves with ruby rhinestones.
Winter around here (the Pacific Northwest) is usually dark, dreary and wet, wet, wet...but once in a while it just dazzles.

Valuable info. Lucky me I found your website by accident, and I'm shocked why this accident didn't happened earlier! I bookmarked it.louis vuitton handbags
