Community Love

(From the shutter sisters pool on flickr) 1.my whimsy 2.little tao 3.tatiana 4.j.caron

I´m late for Valentine´s day, but since there is no such a thing as too late for love, I decided to post what´s been on my mind lately: community love.

Everyday we all support and inspire each other by sharing, commenting and following each other´s work. We are lucky to be surrounded by wonderful teachers, fabulous classes, prompts, discussion groups, and the inspiration we are sharing is not only bringing in the fun, but it is also allowing us to advance in our craft with confidence and grace. It´s a beautiful movement actually, because the world can be so competitive and intimidating at times, whereas here, we have each other to lean on and prove that we are better when we stick together.

So I want to invite you to do something different today. Instead of posting an image of your own, why don´t you kick back and send some link love instead?! Share a link of an image shot by a sister who you admire and tell us why her body of work or a particular image of hers inspires you.

I´ll go first :) All the ladies featured above have so much talent! I love how they capture color, beautiful light and a sense of story (and/or expressiveness) in their images.

Now it´s your turn! Share the love ~

I love Silvia's photography. Her eye for color and pattern and detail is extraordinary:

What a great idea!

Deanna has the most wonderful eye for composition and texture. Plus she always has a kind word to share.

This is truely the most amazing group of women. I found you through the One Word project and I'm so glad I did. The sense of community here is unbelievable. I've been so inspired by all of you. Jen is one that I've marked as a contact on Flickr. I love the feeling her photos inspire.

Like this one:

I could go on & on because there are so many photographers I admire (read: drool over) but I will stop there for now. :)

my two most recent blogger friends {who were blog friends before i met them}, stacey and tracey, are the two people who have been inspiring me most lately. they are both wonderful photographers is my eyes, and they both inspire me so much with there photos and their writing... and both as moms, they make me look so forward to being a mom myself, very soon.

here is a tracey post that moved me so much recently...

Jamie {74} has been my muse lately. Her excursions into film and her mastery of composition, along with her amazing digital images, really rock my world and inspire me. This is the photo that really started it all, and, though I'd been shooting film, really got me way more (read: obsessively) into film, which is really what I'm most excited about lately:

But the contacts I keep are the ones who truly inspire me. Thanks to all of them, really!

I love all of your photos. They're always so bright, and convey a lot of emotion, even if there are no people in it. You should check out some of mine on http://itsaphotonation.blogspot.com/ I just started and only have a few pictures up, but I think they're decent at least. Also, if you could comment and leave some tips for me, that would be fantastic. Thanks

I recently blogged about creative style and featured a several photographers who have each developed individual styles that I am really drawn to: Gina for her warmth, Katya for her use of color, Serena for her humor, Yvette for her moody black and whites, Jade for her vintage Vogue style, and Jill for her textures.

so many of my contacts' work takes my breath away, routinely. my comment could be a mile long with all the links.

but if I use the discipline of holding myself to one photostream - it would be http://www.flickr.com/photos/kristyns/

run, do not walk!

On any given day I know I can go to Kristin's stream and find something funny, inspiring or just plain fabulous! http://www.flickr.com/photos/14811117@N02/5445625220/

What a wonderful idea! Something like the Sundays SS used to have.

It's going to be hard to narrow down just to a few but the ones who immediately jump out at me are:

Darlene Terry and her amazing ability to capture these beautiful beasts and her unique creativity:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/whimsicalyearsphotography/

and definitely Jenny because of her eye for minute detail and more:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/jenny-pics/5442913472/

and prairiegirl, pretty much everything she posts:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/prairiegirlstudio/5432221658/

and Martha's photos because of images like these (and her ability to pair nearly everything with such apt quotes too):
http://www.flickr.com/photos/sewfabmartha/5350525529/
...
Okay, I'll stop now ... see, too many who inspire!
