Updates From The Camp Site

Are you as excited about Camp Shutter Sisters as we are? If so, you won't want to miss checking out all the details on the Camp site today. From location to cost to which sisters will be there to information on when registration begins and other questions...it's all on the site!

In honor of Camp and the Great Outdoors, share with us how you feel when you're communing with Nature. As you can tell by the images above, I get pretty happy. My daughter captured this moment (on the right of the series) when we took a trip to Asilomar this past winter.

Show us the images today that have you celebrating the Wild Blue Yonder!

Your daughter is sure to follow in your footsteps as a wonderful photographer. Great captures. I would like to share an image some Wild Blue in the great outdoors. Check out the blue water finally able to expose itself from under the thick ice. That's something I'm excited to celebrate!!!

Hi there. This is totally off topic but I was introduced to your book on the Texas Chics website and I have a question. Is there a difference in the in the book with the hearts on the cover, from the one with the red shoes? (I love the heart cover pic!)
Thanks!
Dianne

Love the pictures! I too get happy when I'm out and about surrounded by the bevy of beauty mother nature provides us with.

This picture was one where the second I could see the wild blue poking through I was flooded with relief and happiness.

And as embarrassing as this one is, It's all me...invigorated, dorky and lovin every frozen second of the -34'C windchill Nature blessed us with that day.

I was beyond excited and surprised to find new growth under a pile of snow that I cleared from the garden. Daytime highs are only hitting the 40's but it's enough to spur new life. I can't even put into words how much of a thrill it gave me to find these. :)))

My wild blue yonder is usually red or green. We love the red-dirt places - Utah, Kauai, and the like. And as I scan through my photos, I see that I grativate to the green over and over.

Now, to head over to that Camp Shutter Sisters site. I have been haunting it EVERY DAY for details.

This is one of my favorite stretches of coastline and I hope to join you in October to learn and really do it justice. Here are two shots from my last trip to the area - blue is the perfect backdrop!

I was just out in CA taking our boys to Legoland.... wishing I had time for myself and photowalks.... I wish I could attend this gathering - there's no chance you'll be giving one lucky person a spot is there ;)? Here's a shot of what I captured while on the coast a couple of weeks ago.

Even though I lived in So Cal for a year I didn't really get to experience the real beauty of the California coast. I'm SO looking forward to camp. Here's a little taste of some East Coast beauty from last year's vacation.

The beach during the transition from winter to spring can be just the thing to lift the spirits. I caught an image of my toddler's sandy outstretched hand holding a teeny sand dollar. Bliss.

Sigh. All of the good gatherings and retreats are on the west coast. Or else they're a million dollars to attend. :(

My drive home from the Silicon Valley to my mountain home takes me through a beautiful state park, Castle Rock. This picture is from one of my 'happy places' - I love the layers.
