Earth day is just around the bend and we are thrilled to be celebrating with the likes of The Motherhood, Nickelodeon and the National Wildlife Federation in their B Kind 2 Earth Day incentive. What's it all about? Just a great way to get a lot of people committed to doing something kind for the earth this Earth Day. What's not to love?

Lovely post. We need to be kind and respectful towards Mother Earth. You never know what little gifts she'll give you. While snowed in under about 6 ft of snow in Tahoe, we still found little bits of life and spring trying to make its debut.

My favorite picture of kindness is of an older dog kissing my puppy, Sydney, who is not a fan of the dog park. She hung out with this dog for an hour.

This picture makes me smile every single day. What I would love is to capture my dogs kissing each other, but usually they do that in the morning, on my lap, when the camera is clear across the room.

I live in a country which has gone from a ten year drought to severe flooding a few months ago, talk about going from one extreme to the other!

Today it's raining gently. Despite the flooding and our dams overflowing recently, I'm reminded we still need rain as water is so precious, particularly in those areas who've suffered so many catastrophic natural disasters.
