weekending by rakusribut

Rakusribut shoots images like this with her Olympus PEN P3/ iPhone/ Canon eos 450D and spends her weekends alternately outdoors, catching up with friends and family, and indoors with her sweetheart and their 4 dogs and 2 cats, the blinds drawn shut as a request to outsiders not to disturb.

Rakusribut can be found online at any of her three blogs: Exploring with my Camera, iPhoneography Unplugged, or Hipstamoments.

What does your weekending look like this weekend? Do share!

it feels weird to comment on my own image, but i took this shot on a very memorable weekend
i hadn't read the paper yet, but it contained an article about our prince Friso, who had just been buried under an avalanche while skiing. In the article a journalist divulged medical information she had obtained from one of the attending surgeons. this opened up a big Pandora's box of emotions, opinions and principles about journalism, fact finding, privacy, ethics etc etc that has continued up to this day.

thanks to shutter sisters for choosing this image for the weekending-post

I normally spend my weekend at home. Relaxing, taking some more sleep, or going some place else. Jogging, going out with friends.
my usual weekend would list: homemade brunch... or sinful donuts from the local heaven; random activities with friends; visits to my boyfriend at his second office (GRRR to freelance jobs); strolls with my camera.
BUT this weekend wass all about the St. Patrick's Day parade - hey, 6 hours parade??? I made it tho and came back with a few dozen photos... and when I went to bed, I kept having the pipes in my ears :D

Hi Everybody!

My weekend has been beautiful so far... yesterday I went to my parents' house and spent the afternoon outside with my family, including my sister and her two little boys. Happy I had my camera with me to capture it.

Quiet weekend for us, just like this bird who seems to be enjoying a little solitude

My weekend was all about March Madness and attending an NCAA game:

I love this image above, the silver and white mugs, and the refections, great job Rakusribut (pretty name)! My weekend included taking a train into NYC to my office (forgot it was St Patricks) and to visit a friend who was visiting Times Square and Mary Poppins on B'way. We ate a luscious dinner and visited. Today while at home in CT with my husband and friends, I walked down to the beach and there must have been 15+ horses running in the water! We have one of the only CT beaches that allow this. I love being married so we drove around in a convertible too. Romantic! (I'm in Two Takes)

For the first time in a very long time we went on a geocache hunt this weekend. It used to be one of our favorite weekend past times when Taylor was in elementary school.

Congratulations, Rakusribut, on being featured. It's a beautiful image. Last weekend was spent up at the cottage with friends and that can only mean one thing: boardgames! http://www.flickr.com/photos/7265965@N05/6995015865/in/photostream
