Birthday celebration

We celebrated my oldest son's seventh birthday this past spring.  For him, it was friends and family and cupcakes and gifts.  For me, it was remembering the light that he brought with him when he came into my world.

So true, so true.
Moms and dads have a joy at birthday celebrations
which has nothing to do with the party trappings.
And it never ends.

Nice pictures. Love the focus up front and soft blur in the back. Also the attention to details.

Beautiful. I love the progression of the photos and your sentiment about the light he brought into your world. I feel the same way about my little guy. :)

Such a beautiful collection! I haven't been here in a while and I miss it. Wonderful photos and inspiring words. I love having a photograph tell the story. The photo journalist is a master storyteller.

I have a collection but of more than six photos. I get carried away...

Thanks so much for sharing my photo essay here. What an honor to see my pictures on a site that I love. And to Liberty up there - my daughter's name is Liberty, too!

I love this set! The lighting is just perfect, and it feels so intimate. Belated birthday wishes :-)
