Summer Moments

I am a Southern California girl, born and raised here, so it's a no-brainer that I love the beach.  I never tire of it no matter what time of year it is but summer is when you'll find me there at least once a week, if not more.  Sand chairs, boogie boards and umbrellas go into the back of my SUV as soon as school is out in June where they stay through the end of September, along with a large amount of sand that manages to find it's way home with us. 

Momma, when I have kids, I'll bring them to the beach all sumer long. says my 12 yr. old, They're going to love it just like we do. 

It's summer moments like these that make every summer at the beach so magical and I wouldn't have it any other way.

It was the first time we have taken our little ones to play putt-putt. We went to the course where my husband played as a child. And on the way home, we stopped for ice cream. Lovely little moments of connection.

I love seeing all the pics of you all and your young children!! My summer moments of little ones has past and oh how I wish all this digital age photo accessibility was a part of that time! Here's a shot of my boyfriend and I at the lake last Sunday...we had a marvelous time enjoying the great outdoors!!

We have had a dreadful summer so far in England but suddenly last week-end the sun came out. This is a moment on Wimbledon Common. The flowers are really just weeds but they seemed so summery and alive.
