camera

Oh cameras... None of us would be here if it wasn't for our camera or cameras.

Our camera is the extension of our eyes enabling us to see the world in different ways… pressing the shutter and grabbing that moment.

Let's celebrate our tools today and elevate them... they deserve shine.

Share your camera photos today - will hide behind it? will you peek out? Will you create a portrait holding it? - will it be lying around in your special place? - will you highlight your collection?…

Oh my gosh there are so many possibilities, let see what you've got….

Like many other photographers I am fascinated by old cameras and the work that was produced using them. I have collected a few and often wonder what has been recorded through their lenses.

Cameras can hold much personal meaning, as well as being amazing vehicles for sharing life and art. One of mine links me to my father, who took pictures before me...

If I had the freedom (that means time) to actually own and use a DSLR, would I?
No idea on the answer to that.
It would probably feel like too much pressure to produce excellent photos
instead of the just-have-fun processing that I do now.
Or maybe not.
But, my reality is a handy Canon point-and-shoot which is everything I need right now.

this challenge couldn't have come at a better time. my camera is neglected as of late but i'm spending some time getting aquatinted with my iPhone camera. i love being mindful of a theme, of my surroundings and capturing life around me as i go through my journey. so here we go, the first of my monthly pictures.

My mind darted to many places with this word prompt--so many possibilities-- but I settled on this one quickly.

My Minolta SLR was my first and only SLR camera and the one I used to dive into photography. I find her simpler to use than my Nikon DSLR and my true treasure. I look at my collection of printed images and can only smile. Here she is this past Spring Break, I got some great and treasured images with her:

I love my Spotmatic and the pictures I take with it, although it is slowly showing signs of age on the film rolls (no wonder as it's almost 50 years old). http://librasmoments.blogspot.no/2012/07/tidbits.html

It is best to know more about digital cameras if you are to take advantage of the advance technology they offer. Digital cameras are modern gadgets, no doubt.

I have Nikons all the way back to the early FTn, Fe, Fa, F4S and a Bronica medium format oldie but goodie.

For daily use it's my Nikon D80 fitted with my favorite macro lens now as well as a Lumix pocket camera (which I really like) and my IPhone. I've had digital cameras since they first came out. I hope to upgrade to a newer Nikon when funds permit - or Santa comes through!
