introducing the capture collection by Bel Kai Designs

-Manzanita, Oregon

There are some image we capture, a stolen moment in time when the image itself moves far beyond a mere photograph. Whether it be of a person or a place, these shots are etched in our minds and in our hearts in a way that transcends anything we can put into words.

This is exactly how I feel when I am surrounded by the sea, the sand and the sky. And it's how I feel when I see images taken there. It's like pure magic. I can think of no better way to announce a recent creative collaboration with Bel Kai Designs: The Shutter Sisters Capture Collection

We will be rolling out our entire collection over the next few months (featuring some beautiful images from some talented ladies) but we're kicking it off today with the Sea Sand Sky necklace. Did I mention I was excited? The three images I chose for this necklace mean so much to me and each holds a little piece of my heart. I am delighted to be able to share them in this way.

What makes it that much better is that in the spirit of Giveaway May we're giving away a Sea Sand Sky necklace here. I'm so so happy about this!

Leave a comment here between now and Sunday at midnight PST to be included in the random drawing and if you're so inclined, share an image that stirs your soul the way these stir mine.

Congratualtions to GoLightly, the winner of the necklace! YAY!

Lovely, so lovely and a great reminder for us to take care of our seas. This necklace is more than jewelry right now with the oil spill in our gulf, it speaks of the beauty we need to preserve.

I, too, am enraptured with the sea, sand and sky. The most beautiful beach I've ever seen is located on an uninhabited island called Shell Island near Panama City, FL. It is magnificent to see but the feeling I get when I am there is indescribable. Thank you for the cance to win this beautiful work of art.

One of my favorite images is of my oldest sitting in the big white kitchen sink when he was taking a bath when he was about 7 months old... I had just gotten some black and white film put into a simple camera.. He started splashing and I started clicking... On one of the shots when he splashed I caught that very moment and it shows the water frozen in air.. I just love that shot...

I hope everyone had a great weekend...
