everyday things

It’s the beautiful everyday things that make me pick my camera.

I was shopping and these peaches caught my eye: the colour, the smell, the texture and the way they are piled on top of each other.

There is an everyday life of simple ordinary things all around us, what have you seen lately?.

Please share and let’s bask in their simple gorgeousness!

Everyday ordinary. I like that. Here's one of mine:

Everyday things are some of my favourite motives. Here is one: http://www.simplepicsfromaround.com/2011/07/colours.html

Ps: The peaches look fabulous. Made me think of summer, sea, Greece, the smell of a foreign country...

I still wait for the day, when our 2 year old one quits with his 'nunu'. Untill then, this is our daily pick:

Those peaches look so lovely! I love how you've captured them, from above - they almost look like little donuts.... yum

Those look delicious! Here's an everyday thing:

Buttons, which belonged to my grandmother. I don't know which I love more, the buttons or the old string that ties them together.

Great capture.

One of our everyday things is our cat looking out of our sun room window, sitting there watching the wildlife on our deck.

I love your pile of flat peaches, Xanthe! I love the succession of whitish and reddish and to lose myself in how each of them is resting on the others. I love how you have captured how fascinating it can be something on which our eyes alight everyday.
here's a photo of weeds, I find that I am photographing a lot of them this summer:

I love photographing the everyday and finding the beauty in things we'd otherwise look over. Just yesterday I posted about how in love with figs I am at the moment. This simple photo of my breakfast is one of my favorites shots in a long long time: http://bigmariolife.blogspot.com/2011/08/awkward-and-awesome-thursday.html

I haven't seen those peaches before... not in my everyday, but peaches are peaches, right? Delicious!

The wonders of photography is to turn the everyday life more meaningful and magical. The peaches are so adorable because of the smooth colors that they have. I like how you have taken this shot. I am amazed with the depth of field.

I love the fragrance as well as the color of coriander. One fine day, I decided to capture one of these two. So, here's two pics from my daily:

I'm fairly new to photography, but I've found myself getting excited about photographing every day objects. Cherries, onions, and dandelions make me giddy now.

I recently went to a restaurant that couldn't serve alcohol because it was in a dry county. You could; however, bring your own bottle and they would provide you glasses and charge a corkage fee. They lined up the empty wine bottles on every windowsill and horizontal surface. People looked at me strangely as I was trying to capture a few shots. I would have loved to taken so many more.

I'm just getting back into exploring the world with a camera at my hip after leaving it behind in high school. I was so excited to catch this little guy in flight on his way to work. What a job he has, collecting life from beautiful flowers. Oh to be a bee!

I picked a tomato a few days ago. I loved the color combination.
