When we boarded The Inspiration (kinda ironic huh?) on Thursday afternoon, I had no idea what was in store for me. I expected to see good friends, hear amazing music and eat until I couldn’t breathe. I did all of those things and then some. What I didn’t expect was the ...

My favorite vacation of late was a staycation....overused word for a great idea! I stayed home in my city, and did all the fun stuff I never have time for, zoo, meeting up with friends, taking pics, eating, shopping and sleeping in. It was so much fun and so relaxing!

My favorite vacation was a Study Abroad trip to Paris, Florence and Rome. I know a class might not sound like vacation, but I got to see all sorts of masterpieces, and even though sometimes it felt like a reality show with all the drama, it was really fun.

An Epiphanie bag would make my next vacation great, too! No more schlepping two bags!

My favorite vacation was my honeymoon to Sequim, Washington last year. The Olympic National Forest, beautiful cool weather, a ferry to Victoria, picnic dinners at our bed and breakfast. Absolutely beautiful. Plus, we were still riding the wave of euphoria after our amazing wedding :)

What a great giveaway - I love love love Epiphanie bags!

We've been to Beaches Boscobel in Jamaica with our little ones the last two years and we're planning on going again this winter! Great weather, great food, friendly service, waterslides for all ages, soft-serve ice cream available all day... what's not to LOVE?

To be honest...going home to my parents' home is a great vacation. They're glad I'm there and I get non-stop home cooking (that I don't have to cook!)

My favorite vacation was to Lake Mead, AZ the summer of 2010. It was our first big trip with the 1 1/2 year old and he did great and loved it. To see the smile on my childrens faces as they splashed in the water was priceless!

I'm torn. My favourite holidays so far have all been with my husband. Our first trip to Kauai was our first trip together - we discovered so much magic there, returned again and again, and then we were married there. Our first road trip was to Southern Utah, to visit Zion and Bryce Canyons. We learned much about how we travel together on that trip, every sight awed and amazed us - it remains one of my favourite trips ever. And in a couple of weeks, our daughter will graduate from high school, and she and I will make a trip to Greece. Neither of us have been to Europe, and we are eagerly anticipating this time together before she goes to college. I suspect that trip will join my favourites.

I would have to say that my favourite vacation was the one my husband and I took 20 years ago, for our very first wedding anniversary to Europe! We got to see most of Germany, France and Poland where my husband wanted to visit his ancestor's home-stead! We had a great time together just the two of us! We rented a car, got a good printed map (no GPS back then!) and away we went! It was unforgettable! Hoping to repeat it for our 25th! Hopefully, we'll see!

Oh....three years ago I took my niece (11 at the time) to Italy....we traveled the country, renting small apartments, shopping at the local markets and cooking delish meals while taking in the all the splendor Italy has to offer. She still talks about the trip and her little sister (8) keeps asking me when she will get her Italy trip. Wonderful memories!

Next up for the older one is Paris. She has been taking French in school and three years running, A's so a reward and she can help me communicate. New memories.

My favourite vacation ever so far has been a roadtrip from Ottawa in Canada to Boston, MA all in one night, nothing was overly planned, we had maps, hot spots and we hoped on a boat cruise to see whales, visited the pier, all under a very warm sun (a bit too warm at times). After MANY hours of driving (8hrs straight from Ottawa) and walking around Boston all day (we arrived at 9am in traffic hour), we stopped in Manchester to sleep a few hours and get back on the road for a visit of pretty much any cute village in NH and a hike in the White Mountains. Hiked in there all afternoon to then go back to Canada, almost 2,500 km later ;) All of this, obviously with the camera under my arm :) good times!!

I would have to say the Philippines. I live in Cali now and hands down San Diego alone is a great place to be especially in the summer but i have to say every time I go to the Philippines it always leaves a mark in my heart. From the crazy/busy streets of manila, the city lights in Eastwood, the beautiful hidden beaches, to the view of never-ending fields in my province. What can I say, there's no place like home. :)

Thanks for this opportunity! :D

My most FAVORITE VACATION....definitely would be when we went to Monterey CA! It was just me and my lil guy, he was 7 at the time. We just hit the road and free'd ourselves from the blah'ness! We drove up there with our cameras and bikes in tow. And we stayed in this little spanish style resort with wonderful architecture. Parked the car and rode our bikes everywhere for the week. From the Aquarium to Cannery Row to Pebble Beach...we did it all. What a wonderfully relaxing little vacation we had together. It was something special we will always remember. Mommy loves... you my Lil-Guy!!! :)

My favorite vacation was a trip to Florida with my husband and kids. The best part was the 23 hour car ride- lots and lots of time to talk & catch up from our crazy lives!! Nothing like a good old fashioned road trip :)

favorite: in our backyard with family, watching kids be kids.

other favorite: bora bora, little hut over the water with glass window in the floor, balcony where you can dive directly into ocean, water so blue you think you're staring into heaven.

Best vacation was husband, me and friends on the Cayman Islands. Diving in the morning, naps in the afternoon and dinner together each evening. *sigh*

We spent two weeks traveling Greece. We visited the historical sites of Athens, ate our way through Crete, and soaked up the life in Santorini. It was romantic, fun, relaxing, and adventurous all at the same time.

No question - northern Michigan. Sandy beaches, breathtaking sunsets, fantastic food and most importantly a MUCH SLOWER pace of life - seriously, a slice of heaven right here on earth - can't wait to head north at the end of the month!

i love travelling - any where every where. Now that i discovered photography it is even more exciting. I met my husband on vacation in Hamburg Germany. After our Wedding we did travel for over 3 years straight (so wish i would have been into photography then), so there are alot lot of favorite places and trips on my list. Favorite cities would definitely be Florence, Muscat and Istanbul... Now my home country has become the one regular vacation destination (we try to travel at least 2-3times a year overseas)- and I got to say Switzerland is quite a fab place for holidays ...
But then I guess the best vacation we took was 8 years ago to Cape Town, we loved it so much here... we stayed.

My little sister and I always dreamed of backpacking through Europe before either of us got married. As luck would have it, just after I got engaged, she was studying abroad in Spain. We took 2 weeks and backpacked out way through Spain, Germany, Belgium, Italy, France and England. It was so fun! We had some many sweet sister memories and got to live our dream!!!

My favorite vacation was when we went to New England in our pop-up trailer for a 2 week camping trip. We spent the first week camping near Bar Harbor, ME, and exploring Acadia Nat'l Park and visiting the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec and Campobello Island. The next week we spent on Cape Cod, visiting lighthouses, beaches and going whale watching out of Provincetown, where we saw 11 humpback whales swimming all around our boat! We ate Lobster almost every day of the vacation! What a blast that was!

My favorite trip was taking my husband to the Big Island of Hawaii for the first time during our honeymoon. I had lived there for 4 years before I met him and it was so special to show him where I lived, worked and to introduce him to the wonderful friends I met during my time in Hawaii. It gave him a chance to get to know me better and I had the opportunity to share a place I love with the man I love!

One of my favorite vacations was traveling to Charlotte, NC with my little sister for a concert. We camped out over night at the Bojangles Coliseum. The concert was amazing and we enjoyed running around Charlotte the next day. I'm glad to have shared that experience with her :)

My all time favorite vacation has to the be the couples trip my husband and I took to Cancun 6 years ago. It was so beautiful and relaxing. Spending time with friends for outings and dinner and then having time together as just a couple was just awesome. Hope to go back again soon!

My favourite vacation to date was our family trip to the Sunshine Coast in beautiful British Columbia last summer. I love the fact that there are so many clean and clear WARM lakes to swim in. The ocean isn't that bad to swim in either.

25 years or so ago, to an out of the way place 60 miles west of Victoria on Vancouver Island called Point No Point - ramshackle cottages and 70s duplexes on three miles of private coastline. Back then it cheap and the perfect getaway with my husband and baby boy.
Now they have a fancy schmancy website, but it still looks fabulous:

My husband is active duty army and rarely gets time off to speak of, so we have never had a "real" vacation until this past March when he came home on R&R from his 6th deployment. His mom watched our son for us and we had a few days to get away to Santa Fe, NM together. We rented a little house on the mountain, slept by the fire each night, stuffed ourselves silly at the best restaurants we've ever been to, and even went skiing together for the first time. I couldn't have imagined a more romantic, peaceful time with my husband. I know its simple, but I smile every time I think about it. :)

My favorite vacation would definitely have to be to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. I went after graduating high school as a last family trip. Whale watching, landscapes that look like they're right out of a painting, the cold atlantic, highlands behind our cottage, Acadian cuisine, fresh caught fish, magnificent sunsets, eerie fog, armored beaches. It was absolute bliss. Even after traveling to 18 countries in the past few years, Cape Breton is still my reigning champion.
